I wouldn't bother!

Just took delivery of my new "d" and the salesman told me it has it...and it's free for three years. He did something with it during the demonstration drive (can't recall what )but I haven't tried it yet.

That is BMW Online, not BMW Internet.

That was my question. It gives you a full featured internet browser. See this page

Yes it does give you access to an internet browser but it is almost unusable. You are better off just using your mobile phone.

It wouldn't recommend it to anyone!

I think we may be all caught up in a slight difference that BMW has made.

Quite simply, the stuff we see on BMW.com is for everyone, BUT those of us in US; for the US, use BMW North America. Don't think that internet option is available in US

If it is, how do I get it since I have the tech package?

+1

Can't use the browser while in motion and you lose BMW Assist and the ability to send directions to the car from Google Maps.

Do you know how to enable 6AR with coding.

I have a 2014 335i with NBT but the only thing I dont have is the internet browser

Connected drive works etc. but the browser is just not in the menu.

Maybe you have a solution?

BMW Internet for me works great. To order, you just call BMW Assist. I think it is $100 dollars for the whole year unlimited (kinda slow) 3G data.

No, it doesn't work while driving for safety reasons. However, if you have a 5, 7, or X5 with rear seat entertainment professional, the rear seat passengers can use the internet feature while in motion.

No, it doesn't mess with BMW Assist and it doesn't interfere with sending a destination to your Nav using Google or the Remote App.

It is, obviously, only for cars equipped with BMW Navigation Professional. It works great with the touchpad controller as well!

I thought I would give it a try for a year in my 3. I have had no issues. People using it that aren't in the states may have a different experience. I'd love to hear more input on what people using it think.

We are talking about coding it after the fact to cars not equipped/ optioned with it from the factory....

Did your car have 6AR or did you code it?

It was not optioned from the factory. I called BMW Assist and had them enable the function.
