JB4 takes the first F30 in to the 11s!
Just saw these results posted today. 11.9@114 using the JB4, race gas, meth kit, ER downpipe, and drag radials. This was done at Famoso raceway which is known for being a bit slower. Great news for the F30 platform.

I was being sarcastic. Who needs a BMW PPk when you have JB4. Lol
Don't need one you take it off before the dealer and you keep your warrenty. Proven by thousands if customers over the years. |

Those are good numbers. Congratulations to those folks who achieved it.
<rant-begin> But I sometimes wonder, seriously " JB4, race gas, meth kit, ER downpipe, drag radials and what not........." why try so hard? Unless it is some kinda crazy hobby, just get a camaro 1le for lesser money and get over it. That car handles better on the track, will drag as well if not better, costs less, no mods needed (so no hiding things around for maintaining warranty), will not require race gas every day to run that fast, will not require ugly drag radials, will not be street illegal due to down pipe/exhaust modifications, insurance will not have any issues ....hold on...I think I need to stop... a chevy is not a bmw.... period.... just like a PPK is not the same as JB4. They serve different purposes. Did I just realize that <rant-end> Last edited by rallybull; 04-15-2013 at 09:05 PM.. |

My 335 still gets 28+ mpg on the freeway and runs great on 91. I bet it will run low 12s on pump gas all day long. You're right a Camaro will never be a BMW and it wont last as long or get the gas mileage or comfort and leg room and quality and features and warranty and looks and ..... I can go for days. We all have our poison so go suck on yours....

Famosa is known as a slow track? It is just 600 ft. above sea level. I ran a 13.18 106.8mph in my 04 E46 M3 absolutely bone stock. Seems the car just gripped real good as it ran those times with a 1.706 60 ft.time.

I managed a 10.9 in reverse on run-flats with the PPK.
In all seriousness, I think that those who have opted (or will opt) for the PPK have a very different mindset than those who have chosen (or will choose) the JB when it comes to tuning. I wanted a fairly generous helping of additional power for one of my daily drivers. I wanted a "set it and forget it" tune. I wanted to not have to worry about my warranty at all. The PPK ticked all of those "want" boxes for me The JB is a great tune. The PPK is also a great tune. It's nice to have options that will suit the "wants" of various drivers. The only track my car will ever see features turns. If I wanted to be the king of the drag strip and epic burnouts in the Dairy Queen parking lot, I would have leased a Camaro ZL1 for roughly the same price I am paying now.
