good news / bad news
so good news - i finally picked up my 340i (despite Chicago getting slammed with the first snow of the season)!! she's gorgeous (pics later)
the bad news - it's having the same issue that my dad's F32 is having. the iDrive keeps rebooting every few minutes. WTF? Has this happened to anyone lately? His is a few weeks old, and he said it started happening when he let it update the software...

Never happened to me. Maybe have our dad try updating again? Maybe the update got corrupted?

This happened to me on my 800 mile drive home after picking up my car. I took it to the dealership and I believe they just reinstalled the Idrive software and it hasn't done it since.

Congrats on getting it. Mine is still at VPC supposedly for a software update. Not sure why that takes so long. Maybe yours actually should have gotten the update too? Either way it's certainly unacceptable and hopefully your dealer can take care of it. Otherwise how are you liking it?

Same thing happened on my 340. Dealer updated idrive software and all has been fine. Dealer also mentioned that quite a few cars were having the same issue.
