hood latch adjustment?
my hood release, 'pull 2 times' does not work properly...i have to mess with
it; pull 2 times, lift hood slightly, pull another time. low mileage 2012 model; small amount of grease on rubbing surfaces gave no improvement. i think i see the hood down stops. is it too tight or too loose? regards, dan |

just take it in and have them adjusted. this should be a warranty issue.

Sounds like your strikers are either not even or both are too tightly screwed in. I agree with the others that you should take it in, but you can pull down the black plastic clips on the strikers and see if there is the same amount of thread showing on both sides.
If they are really uneven, you can just match the threads and it may even out the pressure. They should also both be "hand loose". If there is no play or they are really tight, then they are screwed in too far. |

'just take it in' ?? 60 miles, 1 way, nearest competent dealer...
and, they tend to keep the vehicle all day, for the simplest things... (translation, take 2 cars, shopping trip to kill time with spouse, $$$$ ) seems like i should be able to fix this myself... any advice appreciated... regards, dan |
