Just ordered the PPK thru my dealer (bmw of sterling). took a while for them to figure out what it was, but i gave them part number and my vin (im a late dec 2012 build), they said it will be here Thursday.

I'm dropping the car off Friday morning. woot!

So, those of us with pre Nov-12 builds will just have to wait a couple weeks for the DME, which appears to be VIN-specific.

That's what I'm going to do...might as well get in line and order, since I'm sure these DME's will take a bit to come off the production line....

The only thing that is preventing me to order this from Tischer now is a confirmation from my SA whether they will know how to install this product. Last thing I would want is getting stuck with this and our local BMW not knowing what to do about it.

They know how to do the software upgrade, and the rest of it is just cosmetic stuff. If you're getting a new DME, they also know how to do that. This isn't anything THAT new, as there was a PPK for earlier N55-engined E9x cars, and it had lots more parts to install. As soon as I get notification it's shipped, I'll make an appt. to get it installed (I also ordered from Tischer and called my SA, who had full knowledge of the kit).

FYI and just looking out for you all. Hold them to that price or double check it. Retail on the part alone is $1100. I'm selling it $895 shipped for the FSC coded ppk. BMW install instructions suggests .25 hrs labor for parts install not including the 1 to 1.5 hrs for the coding retrofit that it says on one of the last pages.

Probably coding the map so it affects all the modes in the right manner.

price is set as i already paid for the parts...MSRP they said was 1100, so they had some room to move down. I am build 12/12 so install i will do my best to hold them to 1 hour.
