Looks like the Audi is underpowered too compared to the BMW and MB, with not too much advantage in gas mileage and emissions especially compared to the BMW. Note the 100kg lower weight for the BMW compared to the Mercedes!

This review is in a British car magazine and they use Imperial gallons which is equal to 1.201 US gallons. In other words, not the same.

I find it hard to believe a c class will be better than a comparable 3 sereis., at least it has not ever been better imo. and i have driven W203 and W204. The W203 was a big pos. The 204 is nicer but cant deliver half the driving pleasure a bmw does for me. imo

Well we all know what infinti will do. They will put a 400hp engine in their 6 ton G-sedan and claim they have the better car.

What's up with the mirror image for the f30 on the cover? Somewhat noticeable when the driver switches sides...

not really. Im looking at the c250 and the e90 328 (both have amazing lease deals currently) for my DD/beater. Im most likely going to go with the c250. Drove both. C250 was def. less sporty but felt more comfy and soft (i want that in NYC traffic). And i liked the C250 interior better. BUT if i was getting the f30 it would be hard to say no. Unfortunately i doubt the f30 will lease this cheap when it releases. And the 1M and S2000 are more than enough for my fun cars.

soon (probably 3 more years). it looks damn good as well. (I was in a paid MB focus group where they actually showed the physical prototypes to us. to be honest, it looks way better than the F30.)

I'm glad BMW is making its sporty cars more comfortable, too. My 135i with sports suspension is a lot of fun but even after getting rid of the runflats, it still has a terrible ride.
Two of my friends have W204 C classes (one luxury and one sport) and I'm really jealous of how comfortable they are for long drives. My daily commute is ~30 miles in each direction on the freeway and usually in moderate traffic. I could never live with a W204, it's comfy but way too boring, so it looks like the F30 strikes up a very interesting compromise. I disagree on the W203 vs W204 comment, though, I thought the later W203 sport sedans were a lot more fun to drive than either W204 but no generation of C class has been able to meet the benchmark set by the 3 series IMO. |
