I definitely don't want anything obnoxious like "CUL8TR" or "NICETRY". I want something that indicates Bimmer enthusiasm without being offensive. I have 7 characters to use.

Any ideas?

Someone else has a pic with "MSPORT"...pretty cool.

Thanks

Some I just made up now for fun: HD M335I, PLZ BRKE, THE STIG, H8TR AID, W8 FOR IT, BMW NERD, TWISTEZ, BLU FIRE, RWD FTFW, BMW SKIES, BIMR FUN, THREE ER, BIMMER3, STR8 SIX.

Since I got MSport EBII, I was going to go totally nerd, and get TMNT LEO. I wanted SMURF IT, but every freaking variation is taken in Cali!?!?
LOL, I love the m3 plate that says "XCUSE M3" and "TKT4M3"

I personally am not fond of "vanity" plates. The term for the plates sort of says it all. I'm more for sequences that will be hard to decode such as combinations of zeros and Os. In most states they look indentical on the plate.

99.9% of the people out there won't get it and the ones who know what it means already know the car is an F30 N55. What's the point of restating the obvious?

If you're going to do a customized plate, do something fun with it.

As an example I had a neighbor who had an old school 3 cylinder geo metro. His license plate said "LOL55HP"

Be unique.

If he does what we tell him to it is no longer a vanity plate.

It is an oxymoron to ask others what to place on one's own vanity plate.

I considered a vanity plate for my M Sport, but as my girlfriend observed: "You are already driving a car that makes you look like a complete a**hole to 95% of the world; do you really need to convince the other 5% with a vanity plate?"
epic!

I might actually steal the F30 N55 idea...i like it!

Dayum good point. so some states allow 5-7 letters, here are some ideas...

I was going to do: "SHIVAS" ...but that seemed lame (my username)
for the ricer in us: FAST3R
"Real German": ICHDE
Not a Ricer: NORICE
....
300hp: WOAH300

I think a custom plate is personal and should be something that represents you. What other people drive or what other people think is irrelevent. Denegrating others wouldn't be my first choice so bagging on Audi owners..who cares.

My passion is Italy and I speak Italian so my personalized plate is AZZZURO which means "blue" in Italian. The correct spelling, AZZURRO was already taken. I like my version better.

Che te ni pensi? Spero che tu ti piaccia ma non, chi se ne frega?? Non mi importa..

Ferrari & Lamborghini are out if my league. I looked at Maserati but cost is too high to maintain. Some of the Alfa Romeos are great like the Giulietta but aren't sold in the US. In general, German engineering is a bit more reliable than Italian ones..lol

Saw this on the freeway the other day

There has to be a story there - and I'm betting it's a sad one

Driving a BMW or any brand and then referring to that brand on the plate is douchey....and uncreative.

My buddy's dad bought a 5 series when he turned 50 and it was a big deal as he'd always driven domestic cars...so he treated himself for a milestone birthday. Then he got the plate OLDBALZ. Now that's good. If he'd have got LUVMY5ER of something...that woulda been lame.

There's a 135i around the corner form me with the plate BABY BMW....so vanity plates are all or nothing...they're either great or they suck. The lady who drive it is like 55 and she's slow as shit. Plate might as well say LOGOWHOR
