PDC malfunction
My front third PDC sensor started malfunctioning and now thinks if anything is even remotely close to it that its in the "red" zone. I think i'll take it to the dealer but won't be for another few weeks. Any tips on things i can try in the mean time to fix/reset the sensor or reduce the annoying now continuous beep?

did you check if there is something on the physical senors itself?
If not, you might want to go to the dealer to get it re calibrated.

Common problem around here. Mine was driving me nuts. Turns out that the front license plate holder simply sticks out so far that sensor picks it up sometimes. I took the holder off and screwed the plate directly to bumper and problem solved. If you don't have a front plate then I agree you need to take it to dealer. Good luck.

Had the same issue - Problem resolved itself. At times it will go crazy but then resolve itself again. Will probably have it checked out at my oil change.

I had this same exact problem, same sensor. I went a little extreme and I took the front bumper cover off, unclipped the sensor and found paint residue under the decoupling ring. A lot of it. This was around the part of the sensor you don't see behind the bumper cover under the rubber decoupling ring. I slid the rubber decoupling ring off and cleaned around the sensor, cleaned the decoupling ring, reassembled then clipped the sensor back into the bumper.
I think it was causing the sensor to think there was something in front of it, but cleaning the loose paint residue off fixed it. Just to make sure it was fixed, I took one of the center rear bumper sensors off (same part number verified by realoem.com) and swapped it with the front one I just cleaned in case it was defective, the dealer could just replace the one in the back bumper because you can reach it from underneath without taking the rear bumper cover off. I don't want a dealer taking my front bumper cover off because there are several fasteners and I don't trust dealers. I think sometimes they cause more problems than what I went in there with. Oh, while I was at it, I took the other 3 sensors off and cleaned them before reinstalling the front bumper cover. They didn't have paint residue like the "bad" one did. It's been almost two months and I have not had this error since.
