Yup! I have some German friends with e90's(pre LCI) with USA red tail lights. When they need to go thru TUV they take out the clear tail light bulbs and put in green ones - in order to pass the inspection.

I have a new set of Red tails for a 435i for sale. Mine got the orange one's while converting from US to German spec.
