SOLVED: I disconnected the MAF and tied it to the vac line. Starts are smoother, throttle response is better, and the gear shifts are also better. It also added about 5 mpg. Photo attached. [IMG][/IMG]

Ill have to try this tomorrow. I installed my Injen and I'm getting boost error codes. Car is a slug when I gun it then boost randomly comes on and the car shoots forward. If that doesnt work Ill have to put the stock back on and test it.

Didn't work for me. Cp or something has to be loose. Hope it's not a service issue cause I'm modded :/

Sorry to bring up such an old topic, but how has your car held up over the years after unplugging the MAF sensor? Have you had any more CELs related to the MAF? Did the original CEL clear up? I'm thinking I may have to do the same thing to my car for my BMS intake.

I know it's still widely done today. Do you have a Tune?

BMW 335xi with drivetrain malfunction error and throwing code P00BD

Hey guys I’m in need of some help, I have been getting some rough idles with rpms fluctuating , when I put the car into sport/sport+ mode and start hitting boost the car goes into drivetrain malfunction. But comes off when I turn the car off and then come back on when I hit boost again. I read the codes I got 3 code, 2 P00BD and 1 PO420 for the DP. The car feels sluggish to move, I’m stuck and was wondering if anyone has had this problem and what was their fix ?
Mods:
VRSF DP
VRSF CP
ER TIC
ER Intercooler
BMS Intake
BMS JB4 (Map 2)
It’s a manual also

Did you try unplugging your MAF sensor from the intake?

Yeah I did, the car ran good in terms with the fluctuations in RPMs but went into boost and still went into drivetrain malfunction and I read the codes again and now I’m getting P0113, P0111,P0100, P00BD. The car won’t pick up it’s like struggling.

Got the problem solved my TIC was blown off from the high boost, resecured and car is running like a champ.

I've been running with my Injen for over a year now with no issues.

Since going to the JB4 ISO I have not been able to run with my MAF unplugged, that was giving me a Drivetrain Malfunction. I haven't tried uplugging it since the recent ISO updates though so I will be trying it unplugged again. Good Luck
