Dealer Offer on MPPK... Need Advice Please!
So here's a quick back story. I purchased my CPO 335 back in August of 2017. Since I've had the car it's been back to the dealer for multiple issues (Injector Replacement, Cat Replacement, Horn and Paddle Shifters Replaced, Blower Motor replaced and a few other small items here and there). Since all this had happened the dealer has made me a good will offer on an MPPK kit, $1200 installed out the door for my troubles.
I'm still under CPO warranty for almost another two full years, but have also toyed with the idea to get BM3 for $600. What do you guys think? BM3 or this MPPK offer from the dealer? |

That's a deal, but not an amazing deal. If it were me, I'd ask them to do the MPE at significant discount, then do something less expensive for power / tune.
Unless you have MPE already? Sucks that you've had that many problems on your '14...mine has been solid the last couple years. |

If you’re not planning to go stage 2 then get mppk. It’s pretty much just a stage 1 with warranty

Wow that’s a ton of fairly serious issues for a 2014 model. I only had a couple minor issues (a rattle and an A/C fan) and one semi-major one (oil pan gasket).

I wouldn't do anything to mess with your warranty given how much you've used it already. MPPK!

Not bad! I'd take it if I had the money! I do want the MPPK too.. but even at $1,200 it's just too steep for me. Nothing can replace warranty.. especially if your car is giving you some problems. Thankfully mine has been pretty good this past year. Lucky me!

Pretty sure I'm gonna pull the trigger on MPPK but I'm not sure what to do with the side skirt decals. I can't find a Sport Line with the black decals installed and not sure how that would look without the M-Sport skirts. Anyone have pictures with a Sport Line w/MPPK and skirt decals installed?

get the mppk and then throw a JB+ on it and you'll be turning in high 12's in the quarter... and it won't throw any codes... I was going to go that route but waiting to hear on the MHD release...

MPPK - I bought my MPPK through getbmwparts dot com for just under $1000, and installed the engine cover and lower airbox plus the underhood sticker and side-sill decals myself. I then took the car to my dealership and paid 1 hour's labor charge for them to download and install the software update. All told, it cost me less than $1100, so $1200 isn't a bad deal at all. Plus, it's all OEM BMW equipment/software. I also added a JB+ for $200 recently for a total of 5.5 additional PSI of boost over stock.
As far as the decals - depending on how the MPPK for your car is configured, mine were just the "//M Performance" letters as seen in my signature, not the ones that black out the entire rocker panel. My kit came with a template for positioning them just ahead of the rear wheel opening.

I have the mppk kit and mpe exhaust and absolutely love it! Much better throttle response and it pulls way harder across the entire rpm range. I did not know about getbmwparts before I had it installed at my local dealer. Getbmw parts wants $1550 for the correct mppk kit for my car and $1095 for the mpe exhaust. My local dealer charged me around $3250 for both installed. A lot of money but i think well worth it.

Just emailed my SA and told him if they do the right thing considering all the issues I've had, that I'd agree to 1K installed out the door. Let's see what they say...

Do it, then add the MPE later.
