If my f30 shows up with that front license plate mount...

Can I ask the dealership to remove it? Will there be holes? What are my options?

But seriously, my guess is there are holes, and the only thing the dealer could probably do is use there body and pain guy to do his best job and fill them in with something, paint and blend, but who the fuck wants to go through that? I see this presenting a serious problem when i am there. Enough for me to walk away? not sure yet, i need to see it in person, but the dealer is going to hear about it.

do you see the two holes? Looks like it got bitten by Dracula. Not sure if they were already there or if this user VictorGzz67 took the bracket off after. :

easy, if you don't like it, pull out of the deal... if you don't mind it, then all is good. really it's not obvious and not a big deal

Very interesting...he will need to give some input on that...just thinking how that can be solved. Maybe BMW can make something that will fill that in if enough people say something...

I'm asking the dealer not to install the front license plate bracket. I understand the front bracket is only shipped with cars that go to states that have front license plate requirements.

IM hoping thats the case, but it sounds like some early production cars have them regardless

try looking at things before you post them. Every single car on that thread has the bracket.

Yes, the two holes are more like minor indents that would be used for alignment purposes when drilling/installing the front plate bracket...the one I saw (without the monting bracket) this past weekend had these marks but they are nowhere near as bad as the bracket or holes drilled all the way through...

How can a license plate make a car any safer?

Just e-mailed my rep @ the dealership and asked NOT to have the front mounting plate installed. He agreed with me that they're ugly and made a note on my order to expunge the thing. W00t.
