Illuminated door sills

I know not to everyones taste but after seeing some m sport illuminated sills I'm thinking that I have to get some.

Anyone know I can get a set of genuine ones for reasonable money? Think they're about £200 from the eBay BMW store.

Cheers

Shop around. You should be able to get a pair for less than £150. But they do take ages to arrive, usually always on back order.

They are battery powered no wiring required just plug and play mate

You fit the sills and little magnet goes under the door which controls it when you open and close the door, very clever imagine if we have to wire these down

Good battery life? How often do you change it?

They are supposed to last approx 3 years, changed my drivers side as it gets the most use as it was dimming down after 2 years but still working. 2x button batteries easy to change pop the trim off and remove 2 plastic covers over the batteries, pop trim back in place.

If you leave door open the lights go out after 30 secs so little drain on the batteries.

Fot those who have already installed them, the sills are totally flat or the battery housing pushes them a little up?

Forgot to mention as part of the fitting instructions on removing the original cover you have to cut away the middle fixing point of the outer sill. If you don't do that the LED cover won't be able to go flat

I'll check a price for you, I might be mistaken. Will see if I still have my receipt.
And whilst I can't comment on others, there was no mention in my instructions for removing anything. Old ones off, new ones on. Completely flush, no trimming anything.

I looked at my rear doors and the sills are much smaller than the fronts. So they only make it for the front. It would have to be fabricated by cutting out the logo in the back ones and retrofitting with parts from the front. The m performance ones would have to be completely fabricated.
