They are saying that technically my vehicle's trade in value is much lower than what I am getting so they are using the rebates and incentives to raise the trade in value as much as they can.

Dealer can say anything they like, as I was saying, if your dealer provides no proof from those well known wholesaler/auction houses, then they can fully take advantage of you (as if dealer is doing you a huge favour)
Just saying as this had been my personal past experience in which I asked for such proof. Dealer had no problem showing me (based on Canada wide transactions which closely match to my car) Anyway, congrats to the new car 👍 Last edited by bobblehead; 06-10-2017 at 03:52 PM.. |

That makes sense I'll look into those reports. I was basing mine on the fact that 3 other dealers lowballed me substantially so when this came around I thought it to be much better.
I actually haven't put a deposit down yet as I am just a tiny bit hesitant in making the switch still. Ya I'll save some money and all and it's not such a substantial amount that makes me want to jump on it when the other side means I'll be stepping out of a M3 into a 440. Just worried that the saving might not be enough to justify the vehicle experience drop. But practically speaking probably will just go for it. |

once dealers learn about your intent, they will have an upper hand on you as they know you will do the deal in likelihood. I hope you study the numbers to ensure they make sense
