These Android units work on AUX not MOST. You have to have AUX enabled (coding might be required). Then simply select AUX as your source and sound from Android will come through.

Oke thats what i gonna do now.. but its strange that they sold this system as no aux only cdc and send me this set with the optical fibre module.. Wednesday i have a appointment to code the radio for the aux..

Can you send a link to this product? I know that E65 is a bit different than other E cars but I never seen a genuine Snapdragon 662 unit working over CD Changer and MOST.

Thanks for sharing that. Typically Chinese, they call CD Changer emulator (of some sort) a Canbus box when it has nothing to do with CAN bus 🤣

But anyways, I honestly surprised they include that and a bit confused how this is supposed to work. For this to work one end would have to be connected to the Android HU directly and other, well somewhere in the MOST loop. Otherwise Android has no means of sending audio via MOST. If there is no MOST connection at the HU then what's the point of that box? In a typical Snapdragon setup, all audio is sent via AUX lines to the back of the OEM headunit (via quadlock connector) or via 3.5mm jack to the AUX port in the armrest/glovebox. Even with the latest EVO headunit which doesn't support analogue AUX anymore, Android sends all audio via AUX, then it's converted externally back to digital and then sent to the HU via USB.

I'm really confused to what the purpose of this box is.

I have work in the past with such interfaces this one is just like the Dension gateway 500 same principle. The android is only analog output tru the 3.5mm jack which is connected to the cdc emulator (the oem thinks the normal cdc) and sends the sound into the most to the ask unit and amplifier. Sounds simple if it works. I also see a movie at you tube that you can change the output of the android to different usb ports an also coding it in the oem headunit but its for Benz NBT system. This is make me wonder whats the difference in the settings between 1.Alpine 2.HarmanKardon and 3.Others

Back to Android, I honestly don't know what actual difference it makes by switching these options. What I know is that Chinese are... idiots, to say it politely. Who in the right mind though that converting digital audio signal on Android HU, on a very cheap and poor quality DAC chip, to analogue, sending it via untwisted pair of cables along with metric ton of other cables producing signal interference, to yet another audio converter of questionable quality to make it digital again? Who?! This is beyond me.

There is however very simple and very Chinese explanation:
1. to cut all possible corners and costs by reducing amount of hardware variety, and
2. because everything on these units is an afterthought.

Anyways, that's my rant (another one) over. Clearly this CDC box doesn't work as intended, but enabling AUX on this E65 should solve no audio issue.

Haha i am thinking the same about the chinese so complicated.. Anyway there are good sone good stuff from there but its searching and trying to find. I am yet ready whit preparing the aux input and on my way to a specialist in programming Bmw vehicles so fingers crossed 🤞🏼

So no luck today.. Programmed the aux with abrites tool or some similar looking also add mp3 cdc but still no sound when i choose aux.. the oem sound is switching from fm to aux.. very strange this must say its a japanese ask but i think that must not be a problem.. what make me thinking is that after choose aux there is no green v (dont the name in english) in the aux box what is seen if you choose fm/am/cdc/tv and with aux there is no level gain (other e-xx wil show this) maybe its because the e65 is just different from other ccc hope there are other e65 drivers here who can confirm this.
I have us at the ask pin 2-7&8 for the aux input.

Tomorrow i gonna try to use a Dension icondrive (its a gw500sbt with separate video input module which i don't need) too see if this wil work. But read about that the ask must be coded with "ipod" is this right or will it work with "cdc-mp3"coding?
Last option is a Dension gw500 lite with aux input this must be working but costs €249,- wich i hope to save the customer…

Update:
Today finished the job.. Have trying a Dension GW500S-BT but this wouldn't work a 500Lite should work but the costs was for the customer too high so i dit the Tuner Mod an soldering a bypass into it whats was a tricky job but after al its working also needed a ground loop filter because the humming sound. Must say i like the px6 with Hal9k rom more than this standard rom just missing som add-ons where use to be familiar with( don't know if there a some custom roms are available yet for de A11 snapdragon) So is the interface in the 8.8 so small which you can't get bigger also there is no plug for a external microphone which was included in the package and music switch off when you go back to oem or using other apps and you can't set apps in the homescreen but i think this al can be set bij a way i just need to work more with this system to get used by it. After all i like the speed of the system and the interigration into the oem of the car👍🏼

Well that was a very strange case, but then E65 with ASK is a very strange car. On other, newer cars, it's simply plug&play.

I've seen 10.25" and 12.3" screens for E6x but they look ridicules. Maybe still somehow acceptable in E65 but E60-64 it's just silly.

As for custom ROMs, well I wouldn't hope for one. I've been here for over two years, started with A9, upgraded to A10 and now we have A11 units. No one even attempted to make a custom ROM for Snapdragon units for a couple of reasons:
1. These systems have to be very tightly integrated with hardware and Snapdragon board (MSM 8953) design/pinout is confidential. You cannot just slap any custom ROM and hope it will work with these boards, it has be coded to work with it.
2. It's a massive project, very difficult when you have to reverse engineer everything as well, and you can simply achieve 95% of what you would with a custom ROM buy simply installing a custom launcher like ID7 Launcher and pair it with KSW toolkit to tweak things up. These are apps made by our community.

Most of the streaming apps won't work on these units due to DRM. These devices are not certified and you need to either find an old build of the app you want to use somewhere online (like Netflix workaround) or cracked version.

I'm fairly new here, so maybe this is already in the forum, but i wanted to see if there was a thread with just posts with the Android 11(or even 10)unit that was bought, cost, which seller they bought it from, maybe what country the seller is in, and feedback. I can find some units/sellers after going page by page in all the discussion, but then it veers off into questions about all kind of topics and it gets tedious searching for just the information I need. I have researched almost 15 different sellers(probably more) and am trying to narrow down which ones are the best, most reputable, and have the best units. It seems like they are almost all the same unit from the same place, but I am assuming each reseller adds bits and pieces to make it "their own." Really you are buying the experience and which seller will provide the smoothest and inexpensive one. Also, looks like most of the posts are from owners from Europe. With me being in the states, I am I am not as comfortable ordering from somewhere overseas. I have seen 4x4 shop in Canada and Accessories International in Miami. Not that companies on the US are better, just feel like from a customer service standpoint it might be easier to communicate and if anything is wrong,
, It will be easier to get the issue taken care of. I may be wrong about that so I would be interested to hear your thoughts.

System (KSW) updates are universal, not car specific. Only MCU updates need to match your car.

Managed to update to v1.8.6….the only difference I noted is addition of ‘mic gain’ in the factory settings ( the ones that need a password)
My reason to update is because of the media player( Witskswmedia player) …for me it’s buggy…the shuffle feature is gimmicky, it’s laggy when playing high resolution video files…I like its autostart feature when you start the car. I wish I would get a video app like Oplayer or kmp that automatically plays the last video after starting the car

Copy mylogo.zip file to the OEM folder on your USB stick, go to factory setting, boot logo selection, import boot logo.
