NBT EVO ID6 APIX2 Touch Screen Retrofit Coding?

Hi Guys,

I’ve, replaced my NBT EVO ID4 head unit on my F30 with a ID6 head unit. I’ve coded it to the car using esys and activated CarPlay.etc

I was a bit cheap and used my original APIX1 CID display and do get frequent black screens but it hasn’t bothered me. Recently I’ve had a good deal on a APIX2 Touchscreen unit from a junk yard. Before I fit it, could someone point me to what I need to code to get it to work. I've done a bit of research and have come up with this:

CID_APIX_MODE=APIX2
CID_COM_MODE=MII
CID_DISPLAY_RES=1280×480
CID_DISPLAY_SIZE=8.8

CID_TOUCH = aktiv
CID_HMI_TOUCH = aktiv

Does this look right?

If you have Facebook try going to the bimmergeeks protool page and asking there. They usually have a bunch of individuals with great coding knowledge on.

I did the same thing - have an Evo unit and originally used my original NBT display with voltage converter. I then bought a 10.25" screen from a G30 and managed to fit that in.

Your coding options should be good, but you'll also need to change the colour depth:

CID_COLOR_DEPTH - will be 18 for your APIX1 screen, should be 24 for APIX2 screen

That should take care of it.
