Hi all

I want to upgrade the terrible standard sound system in my 335i. So far I'm thinking of the focal front speakers and a new amp. Was looking at the JL xd600 but it's quite expensive at £500, is there anything cheaper for around 200? I'm only planning on changing the front speakers so nothing to crazy, also want something easy to fit that will just plug straight in using an adaptor cable.

Any help would be appreciated

"Cheap" and "BMW audio upgrade" don't really exist in the same universe. There are multiple sound systems you could have in your car (base, Hifi, HK) and which one you have determines where you can start on upgrades. Simple answer on the amp: probably not. BMW audio systems used Balanced inputs and almost no cheap amps support it. The JL IS the cheap choice.
