Vivid Racing Tunes?

Anybody ever heard of this company or their tunes? They have a piggyback style and an ecu flash style tune. I'm skeptical because I've never heard anything about these tunes on any of the f30 forums. Here is a link:

I heard of vivid racing, as far as i know they bought HPF last year.
They also own
Agency Power
M3 Parts
Tein Coilovers
Audi A4 Parts
HorsepowerFreaks
HPF Store
ECU Tuning

Tune looks good but i would get a jb4.

Although it is expensive at $1300, a flash tune does seem appealing particularity because it seems so easy to return it back to factory settings. Is this the first flash tune out there for the n20/n26?

Especially after I read needs super unleaded, so super unleaded+dp+map2 on JB4 I think it would make same power.

Lots of marketing. Very little technical information specific to this product. Not even a dyno map. Interesting statement - wonder how that works? Expensive for the little info provided.

These units are not flashing a full file, that's why they can do 'anti-tune- cars, they are updating pieces of information both in the ECU and TCU but not the whole map so it doesn't alter the flash counter or change the overall file size

By looking at the connection points, it connects to completely different set of wires. Not sold at 75hp but definitely worth looking into more.

But thats the thing, this is 'claiming' it can do it with just the tune so much easier to put your car back to stock than to take a dp out every time for service.

I go to make service with dp & jb4 installed the engineer told me as long as it's not detectable, they won't bother... friendly dealer lol

Their piggyback is just an over priced version of the BMS Stage1 with no logging and inflated power gain figures. It does not have CAN access like the JB4. They might as well say it adds 100hp as no before and after dyno is provided.

Their flash tuning looks interesting though. I've not seen flash tuning for the N20 motor yet. Would love to see a dynojet comparison with it to see how it stacks up.

Even though it's crank numbers, at 320hp it looks like it's on par with if not better than BMS Stage 2 dyno of 268whp with 93 pump gas.

So true. Their tune is actually re-packaged Cobb or GIAC....even though they claim it's all in-house.

They know nothing about AWD.... and that alone, is downright scary!

I was in the Subaru game a long time ago. They were robbing their customers at the time. I’m surprised they’re still in business. They were banned on the forums.
