How long did your car wait at port of exit before it left port?

So far things have beem moving quickly for me.

Ordered a Regensburg-build 335 M Sport in late October and it came out of production, awaiting delivery to carrier, on November 6.

On November 13, the status changed to "being transferred to port of exit".

On November 15, the status changed to "at port of exit awaiting a shipping vessel".

For those of you who've recently had a car shipped, how long did you wait at port before it left?

Thanks.

Based on my experience and research, could be just a few days, could be 2+ weeks before shipping.

Is the NJ port and VPC re-opened? If not, NE cars are being dropped in Baltimore. Could possibly delay things as Baltimore is likely backed up.

Port of NYNJ is fully operational. Not sure if backlogs affect incomings...

Also interesting to note is WW is running 2 ships to NY on November 21st, one a direct non-stop at 9 days, and one regular local at 14 days.

Do we feel lucky?

I'm in the same situation as you my car updated today to at port waiting on a shipping vessel, things have been moving along quickly. It wasn't even scheduled to be completed until 11/15-11/16 as I had PW 46, Munich build.

So I too am hoping for a boat to NY port soon.

My wife's X1 was arrived at Bremerhaven on 11/7 and has been sitting since then - my 335xi arrived yesterday (11/14) and I really, really hope they both make one of the 2 boats on 11/21.

Isn't it a blast to know all this crap about shipping and all?

Fingers crossed for the 21st guys!!! I hope we're on the Tampa (9 days) but will settle for the 14-day local, the Turandot...

How long do they take to hit the east coast, mine will go into GA before coming to TX?

Meaning travel time once they are on a boat...

19-21 days on boat from Germany to Galveston.

The first sticky above shows where to get shipping info and is a nice, if dated, thread to read for those like us intererested in this minutiae.

Wow....A direct ship right to NY bypassing Germany from SA. This opens up a whole new bunch of possibilities for those of us on the West Coast. If there are West Coast bound cars on that ship they would certainly get here faster. I don't want to get too excitied..but how cool would that be???

I KNEW that was too good to be true. That's why I didn't get excited. I've resigned myself to it comes when it comes.

Too much is going on right now between now and the end of the year anyway for me. Thanksgiving, Vacation in Cozumel the week before Christmas, Christmas and then New Years.

I'm looking at this as not a Holiday Present but a Birthday Present now. My birthday is Feb 9th !!
