Here we go again!

The launch of the 3-Series GT is going to set off a BMW super-fan armageddon again. Can we just skip the opening credits - you hate the styling, dont see the point, BMW's losing the plot, only someone in China will like it, havent seen one around at all, didnt they hear about the 5GT??!

Some of you might actually test-drive one. Sure it is a niche crossover (and not designed to appeal to all tastes by definition). Sure it drives a bit different from a rep-mobile 520d/528i in Space Gray. But some of you may find the space and versatility and the uprated interiors (over a comparable 3-series sedan or touring) a compelling proposition. Not to mention very good driving dynamics and performance for what is a big crossover (and you didnt want an MPV or a Touring/Wagon)

The 3GT, like the 5GT, is likely to be sensitive to configuring the right exterior and interior trim and options. It is a heavier car and will NOT be as frugal as your current rep-mobile. But for a few people who are not afraid to be different, and vote with their ££ in Europe where the GT is a moderate success for a niche platform, and Asia where it is an established platform; here is another option - sportier, more accessible and every bit as compelling as the 5GT.

Off my platform, normal service has now resumed

I like it, the M-sport looks pretty good, the other one, not so much.

I don't mind if other people don't every one is entitled to their opinions on the styling and such, but it never ceases to amaze me how narrow-minded, and in some cases uneducated, some of the reactions on here are - cars like the GT's don't embarrass me as a BMW fan, but some of the reactions here do.

The taillights are way sleeker than the F30.. I think the car looks good, well except for the boomerang and the overstretched roof-line. It isn't hideous like the ti.. I don't know why you guys find it ugly.. It's just plain normal. That being said, I don't agree with what BMW has been doing lately and I certainly don't think the GT segment has any meaning.

You mean massive body roll, a steering system that is not connected to the front wheels, and the engine note played through the speaker system?!?!?!?!

Looks like a 5GT crashed into a 3 series. Hard.

Like a girl with a beautiful face and a big fat ugly ass!

M-sport line with a ground clearing of a SUV?!

Gills look like plastic stickers, and placed too low.

The Italian forums are burning down this car with really succulent comments; our opinions here are really bland in comparison.

I don't get all the fuss to make different versions of these cars. Why? I won't be jumping in line to plunk down money on it

This IS the front of the 4 series coupe. I would even venture a guess that the tail lights and rear bumper are the same. This is purely speculation, but if the A5 coupe and 4 door fast back are any indication, they are very similar except for the four doors and hatchback.

Also, I would think that this car is for the european market only where the A5 fastback is a hot seller.

Needless to say; I am disappointed with this design. The F32 might be the ugliest BMW 3 series couple ever made.

This is all sorts of ugly....

The front grill was one of the best things about the F30. This made it worse. Yuck.

I wonder if the F10 LCI will have a similar headlight/grill design.... Looks possible based on camo pics.

My god.. It's like X1 & 5GT all over again.
If these are meant for China, please, do not release them anywhere else! You're hurting the brand.

Well said sir. You yank haters sound like petulant kids you know. You should grow up and get over yourselves and stop trying to dictate to the world that YOUR opinion of a car is the only one that counts. Thank God BMW don't listen to you muppets and keeps coming up with new models to satisfy even more customers.

If you don't like it: fine. But don't come out with stupid comments like BMW are diluting their brand and this isn't a BMW and how dare they. You just sound a bit ... well, a bit retarded really. Like you can't think past your own nose.
