Makes driving the extra 30 miles to save 2 cents on a loaf of bread totally worth it.

'14 335 x-drive

Drive this thing in NYC, handles the traffic like a champ. Steering is tight, throttle is responsive, and the exhaust is just load enough to get pedestrians to notice.

Drive this thing on the highway. Absolutely eats miles! Power is plentiful, brakes are effective, standard stereo is bangin'.

Drove this thing up and down a mountain today. Shifts are instant, power delivery is awesome, and steering ohhh the steering is nice. The exhaust snaps, crackles, and pops. I love it.

And yet, this car can handle my Home Depot/grocery/pizza runs too.

I'm happy I got a 3-series.

The n55 and n20 engines are truly works of art. I believe the n55 specifically will go down as one of the best inline 6's BMW has ever made! And I'm getting the same feeling from the s55. Both phenomenal power trains. I really just feel fortunate to experience and taste the fruits of all this engineering firsthand.

Whats not to like?

Came out of an F10 535xi that I didn't like at all. The minute I drove an F30 335xi 6MT I knew that was it. Perfect size. Great pull in all gears. Handled great even without the vaunted DHP (I fixed that already). Great brakes. The car is tunable. With 4 snows on it it goes through 6" of snow like an SUV and goes 120 MPH all day long. Great electronics in the '15, great screen. Best seats and wheel combo I've ever had in a car. M Sport is actually a good value in this model. Easy to mod the exterior. easy to get track ready. Gets 25MPG even after being boosted to 385HP with Dinan Stage 2. My dealer has a dedicated performance guy who makes modding the car easy and reliable. Nothing I really don't like about the F30. I still don't get all the whining about the steering. My biggest issue with the steering is holding onto the wheel when I take off ramps at 2x the advised speed.

I actually look forward to getting up in the morning and driving to work. I really really look forward to driving home from work. I take the long way to get somewhere... a lot.

14 F30 328I, Numerous mods.
Since I have a lease, I am very cautious with mileage, but I can't help but drive the car everyday a little bit. Helps to dealing with the stress from work-life. I look forward to driving to/back from work. I think the car is the perfect daily.

However, I need another car in my life, and I'm longingly looking at E36 M3, E46 M3, or a 135I. I need a bit more excitement for my weekends than the F30 delivers.

F31 330d Xdrive 8AT in EBII.

It looks great, the 3.0l engine with 8AT is sublime.

Covers all my needs.

Friday, back roads in Wales stick to the left and using paddles, loads of power.

Saturday - went Shooting, parked up on wet grass field that just got wetter, xdrive effortlessly handled the went grass and gradient, so cars had bit of spinning lol.

Got home, threw mtb in the back and popped out to local forest for some biking.

Sunday motorway cruising and night time drive with those magic lights

Monday, full pamper for the car, now looks great nice shiny EBII Hearse

All in its a great all rounder giving between 29mpg and 50mpg, in a Tourer that can give 0-62 mph in around 5.3 seconds.

So excellent!
From the simplest pleasure of, it brings a smile every day, to the desirous, mod heavy, speed hungry, beast of a machine that it is!
WOW, thanks for all of you sharing, there's a lot to love...

I have to take a road called Interstate 66...I do not look forward to driving to or from work.

I will say though now that the weather is nice and I have my summer rubber on, putting it in sport mode puts a shit eating grin on my face every time.

On more than one occasion I've had people scream in my car while accelerating in sport mode (not doing anything reckless like going at a rate of speed above and beyond the legal speed limit, just the acceleration force and hard cornering).

Simply why do you love your car? The way it performed, felt, brought you a smile, joy?

For example. This morning. A tight, two lane highway doing 60+, guard rail on left lane and small shoulder on right lane. Subaru Outback in the right lane, I'm about to pass left as the road starts turning left, it was open, I had it and there was enough room. As I'm accelerating to pass, the subaru veers left, into my lane and all of a sudden there was not enough room to pass. Nailed the brakes smoothly but very firm and a possible accident becomes simply a not so close call. Car slowed quickly and in control. Took the turn and road mostly straightened, subaru moved back into his/her own lane, thank you very much, and off we go...

Brakes are fantastic, car is always in control whether braking, accelerating, turning, cues the driver into knowing what the car can and can't do and boy, it can do a lot!

En-JOY it!
LOVE this car and the control it affords me. Many times I was in a bind and the car just saved me from a guaranteed crash in a lesser vehicle. For example the other day, a little too happy driving that morning, I take my usual exit at 80 mph instead of 25 (lol). Very short off ramp that does a right hand 180 degree turn before a traffic light. Unfortunately there was a car on the ramp that day and I had to apply the brakes quite firmly while making the turn. No drama (for the car, I was petrified), as all 4 tires just slightly and progressively slide to the outside of the turn, but in a very predictable and balanced way, from front to left. No under/over-steer, just a small gradual sliding. I didn't even get close to crashing, but it sure gave me a scare. I would like to drive on a track to train myself to keep composure in those moments, but the car definitely handled it quite well.

The car is phenomenal! This is my fourth 3-series in what I hope is a long future of 3-series joys to come.

The fact that there are only 2 pages of comments in a positive thread that's almost a year old just proves my theory that folks primarily run to the internet to bitch and complain... which paints a very biased picture of reality.

I love and have loved all of my BMWs over the years (25-30 total). I love my F30 and think it does everything that I ask of it very well. I also love the hell out of my wife's E61 6 speed. It's a rather porky car, but it handles way better than it should for a car of it's heft.

Nothing but love for BMW from THIS guy.

this is my first bimmer. prior cars have included things like the Accord, Altima & Maxima. This car is on a totally different class... yes because of the cost but it just blows everything else away that I've driven. I test drove some MB's, Acuras, and Audi's... but hands down this car is perfect (to me).

Every day when I get in the car I just love driving it. I love to sit back in comfort mode and let the ACC take control, or kick it into Sport and wail on it a bit! I always have a big smile on my face when driving... yeah I know...car nerd.. but w/e I love it!
(and my lease payment is only slightly more than my Maxima was due to the amazing deals and residual value!)

Drove from NYC to DC this weekend and the car is incredibly stable at high speeds. 90+ mph and my passenger and I were having a calm and comfortable conversation.

First BMW, previous cars have been VWs and Audi's (with a bunch of Chevy's in my misguided youth.)

This will not be my last BMW I can tell you that.

Why did I buy my F31? Bottomline, wanted a AWD, wanted a wagon, and wanted either a firebreathing high powered 6 cylinder or a diesel if I was going to be stuck with a smaller engine. No one offers a performance wagon in the USA except maybe the E63 but it STARTS at $60k and isn't really firebreathing at a mere 302HP for a wagon. And the AMG is 100k LOL And no one offers a diesel wagon period......except BMW.

This car is great, from the heated steering wheel to the brilliant iDrive to the gorgeous design both in and out. It's a wagon but it handles like a sedan, love it.

I love it because I get to give it back in 3 years and not deal with things failing at the 50,001 mile mark.

This combo is pretty funny!

Love is when you are a bit sick when the car is getting serviced. when you are not together

Glad to see all the positivity!

Here is another. Major props to Wide World BMW in Spring Valley, NY. Showed up there today (Saturday) a half hour before they closed their service department, with a flat tire (don't get me started, way too many flats, but this is a positive post). They did not have the tire but hooked me up with a loaner (328 GT, nice!) and will have it repaired and aligned by Monday.

Thanks for the awesome customer service!

Keep the positivity flowing!
