Akra is in another league from these two systems. If money wasn't a factor, I'd be all over it.

There's the S-type. Now, I need a video like this for the ATAK so I can decide which one to get!

Damn that actually sounds good. I bet it sounds even better with a down pipe.... I'm going to move forward with my $70 cutout project and if that sounds like crap, I'm getting the Stype...

The worst videos are the ones made with the car accelerating in a tunnel or between two buildings, not an accurate representation of the exhausts true sound... |

Not sure which one, but they have a Borla exhaust installed on the shootout: http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=877074

I thought so too!
I'm going to hold out and just try running HFC down pipe with stock exhaust first. That's after I get the coilovers I just ordered

Dp with stock exhaust definitely sounds pretty decent but I sometimes want a more aggressive growl. I'm going to try my exhaust cutout install this weekend and if it sounds terrible, I'll order the stype.

Sorry for the stupid question....but, how old is this vid? The BMW is an early model f30 (see license plate bracket)....early 2012. So....assuming this was made last year....how does that car have the MPPK? Or....is it not the "same" MPPK? The guy DID say it didn't feel faster than stock and that it was most likely throttle mapping. Since everyone on here feels the MPPK is night and day difference, is it not the "real" MPPK tune? Also....look how low the RWHP #s are....most MPPK dyno #s are significantly higher. Thoughts?

-bought the car used -have had it a while -it's a media car from BMW BTW, the low numbers make sense considering it's the same dyno I used and my numbers seem low to everyone else.

I thought the Borla in the MT video sounded pretty good, but not particularly better than a broken-in MPE. Since the MPE is about the same price and retains warranty, might be the way to go for me...

I think the problem some people have with the MPE is that it's just not much louder/different than stock. I've read a few comments to that effect at least from people who have it. Also, MPE requires cutting the old exhaust, whereas the Borla should be bolt on, so that will have some effect on installation costs.
