Bringing her in soon... I'll update with impressions once I get it back after work. Work is going to feel like a total drag until I get my car back. I can't wait!

No problems, Corry is awesome and has literally installed and recoded my car now 4 times:
1. Coding after M Performance Suspension Install 2. Coding after M Performance Brake Install 3. Coding after new DME (IRAP) 4. Recoding #1 and 2, loL! So he kind of knows his way around stuff..

Shocking News
Just got off the phone with my SA...My car is finally finished! No CEL, no more faults, MPPK is good to go and all is well....picking it up around 5:30-6ish tonight. The weather is PERFECT today...I was planning to take my bike out on the twisties in the hills of northern Kentucky after work....looks like I'll be taking the F30 instead! I'll post feedback this evening, seems to be a distinct lack of MPPK reports with the 6MT.

So now I'm on day 2 of the MPPK install. My SA tells me that "no one knows when the IRAP session will be done." Given what I've read in prior posts, I think that the dealership should charge some if not all of the labor to BMW under warranty . . . .

Looks like the parts came at the end of the day. My service tech just informed me that he started the programming a few minutes ago.
Parts just arrived: As the service tech put it: "Red envelope of power"

Quote from the dealer for the F30 MPPK has come back (this is in Melbourne Australia)...$3357 supplied and installed!
Apparently it would take 2-3 weeks for the DME to arrive from Germany (I have a very early build). I am trying to get a breakdown of parts and labour but it's a big number when you consider the prices being discussed for the US on this forum. Thanks once again BMW Aust...I think that officially kills my MPE aspirations! |

Bad news. Even though I have an 11/12 build, my car didn't make the cutoff and will require a new DME. Looks like this will take a lot longer than I expected, lol. I'll use the info found in this thread to hopefully speed things up.

That is a bit of a surprise. Mine is a November build as well and it is going in on Friday for the install. Did your dealer order the kit from Germany using your VIN? I would of thought that BMW would know what DME they used by the VIN. I am stressed! I want this MPPK so badly I can't sleep but I might be losing more sleep.

Ok, new update. So I talked with my SA and he said he spoke with his manager and got me a 328i loaner. The best part is that they got a call after hours from BMW and they started the IRAP to download and install overnight. They hope it'll be ready by morning. We'll see, I'm not getting my hopes up yet...
