Mine ended up costing me $135.00. I'm sure they could have done the hard part installs quicker than me, but I figured anything I could do myself would save me time waiting in the "customer lounge".

There were some prep procedures they had to go through and then they test-drove the car to be sure everything was working ok.

Count on an extra 30 minutes to an hour labor if they do the aforementioned hardware installs.

I literally LOL'd at work while reading the "orgasmic steering enhancements".

Thanks for your honest review. I laugh when I see the "stupid fast" comments but I still think its an awesome upgrade. Cant wait to drive a PPK car at the end of the month.

There is a chance the steering change is a result of the software update to 2.49.1 or greater, not the PPK.

That would be cool. I've always felt the steering of Comfort Mode to be way too loose.

Also, I just got an update on my PPK install. Looks like they just spoke with Technical and was told to try programming the car (updating the software?) first before doing the tuning programming. Not quite sure what that means, but if that doesn't work, a new DME will be ordered.

At 1052am this morning, I posted that I was in the IRAP session. At 430pm, I recieved a call as I was attempting to drive a golfball... well the ball decided to go its own route, never found it. Listened to the voice mail left by the service manager who said the system crashed and would not be ready today. WTF!!!!!! my wife stopped me prior to throwing my phone in the water.

limp mode

Well, unrelated, but i'll document it here too... I got my first limp mode today. Its just as described in the limp mode thread.

can't rev engine past about 2200 rpm. came out of nowhere. floor it, no power, fan blowing loudly (just like the limp thread).

going to take it in monday. hope the 'fix' doesn't screw up anything.

Did you hammer the car hard before it went into limp mode?

That's definitely not good news. I'm bringing the car to the track tomorrow in Fontana which is supposed to be 90+ degrees... We'll see if I get the infamous limp mode!!!

I think I was the first one here to have the electric cooling fan crap out. They never were able to fix mine.

Hope that's not the case for you. PM me if you have any questions.

They were never able to fix it?? So they just left you with a faulty part (under warranty)?
