m-sport wheels

Would you rather get the 18's (style 400M) or 19's (style 403M) seeing as how you will get staggered set up with summer performance tires on both?

I really want 18's but i want a square setup so i can rotate tires. I am afraid of how often I am going to have to replace tires on mine when she comes in.

For the looks I prefer the style 400M.

I don't really care for either.
Personally I think the 18" Sport Line Wheels look the best.

See the ordering guide, you have the option. "with mixed tyres"

just request it - it is a no-cost option, but you will lose summer performance tires for all season, i believe. i think they have the square set up more geared for xdrive models.

seems like the 18s are winning 2:1, which means we have a pretty rationale crowd here. form is secondary to function....

this is fantastic news as I was really wanting all seasons as well. Now I will be able to rotate them and hopefully make them last a little longer.

so? that doesn't translate to any sort of performance advantage.... except that you're slower off the blocks and off the apex....considering both have the same width.

I love the 403's, but apparently one can only order the 400's with the 328i M-Sport?

Agreed. Plus the 400M is easier to clean.

Yeah, I saw that on the order catalogue. Makes no sense. I don't understand why the pkg has to have any differences between the 2 models.

I have ordered the M400.

First of all, I love 5-spoke wheels. And second, I have the bad habit to damage my wheels on the road curbs when parking So I take the smaller rims.

so, you said form is second to function, which is wrong. the 19's are worse performance wise compared to the 18s.

In this case you are retorting exactly what he said.

Form = looks/style (ala secondary)

Function = performance.
