Connected Drive Software Update

Any Canadian owners tried updating. There's a threads in the F30 forum and iDrive forums with more info on the update. The link for the update is on BMW.com but can't find any info on BMW.ca. Also no info under My BMW for an update either.

What version of the NBT do you have running and what was the build date of your car.

Mine is a 2014 335i Xdrive built in August 2013 with Connected Drive. Everything seems to work fine so I'm inclined to not bother.

When I check the iDrive firmware version under Nav/Options/Softwareinfo it says: NBT_B13185A which I assume is the version that came with the car.

A bit confused by some of the posts reporting that NBT_G or higher is needed to apply any of these upgrades. Also nothing on the Canadian site or MyBMW that advises an update. When I check the query on BMW.COM it presents the 2 update options based on build dates.

Just catching up on this now. Any one tried updating their software? Any changes (e.g. is the display icon for the heated steering wheel a part of this)?

On a somewhat related note, anyone updated their Nav maps? Any clues on how to go about doing this would be appreciated.

I updated and noticed some small differences. It's now easier to delete an entire library of music stored on the onboard hard drive, compared to how it was before.
