F30 335i Akrapovic Evolution exhaust installed! (video)

Here are some quick snaps and a iPhone video of the exhaust. I'll see if I can get some better videos of it. I just wanted to post a quick vid for those who asked about it.

Big thanks to my friend Pelko who is my personal mechanic!

Updated with a bit better video. It was unfortunately quite windy outside but you get the point!

You got some good shots of the two systems together. My shop wouldn't let me in and forgot to take photos themselves. Glad you did it! As the exhaust breaks in, it gets even better. Now all you need is the MPPK and you will have about the nicest 335 around! I love your wheels!

Sounds good (pun intended)! I really like it, almost like stock in comfort-mode but a really nice growling sound in sport mode.

I would say that this sounds perfect. The perfect upgrade for people with the M Performance Exhaust but who want that little extra in sound without sounding like a F1 car 24/7.

I am of course biased... But it has absolutely zero percent drone, it is stelth-like if you want it in comfort mode and as sooon as you floor it or use sport-mode it has a very nice and sporty sound without ever being too loud or annoying.

Wouldn't expect any less from Akrapovic!

I have m performance exhaust right now with a downpipe and I really enjoy it. I'm back and forth between upgrading to the Akrapovic. Really curious how it would sound with a downpipe, the mpe to me sounds great as it is.

I have never driven a car with an aftermarket downpipe so I don't know how much that changes the sound. If you are happy I don't see a huge reason to pay 3000 dollars. It sounds awesome, but I bet your combination isn't that far off.

No, just the Akrapovic. It sounds quite a bit more now when it is broken in.

It wouldn't do the exhaust any justice. With all windows up the camera doesn't pick up the sound any good and to be honest it is quite quiet in the cabin. Outside it is much louder though.

Sounds great, but I can see why the gains are oddly low compared to the stock...it goes from a single to split back to single pipe, out to TWO mufflers?
They should've kept the two pipes terminating into two separate mufflers...yes, more R&D and cost, but at least gains would be better.

I'll keep my MPE for now, gives me like 1-2hp (versus 8 for Akra?) and doesn't cause all this crazy flow turbulence...

I am no engineer but Akrapovic must have had some reason for changing to two pipes, maybe to eliminate the drone?

Since they put 3-4 months into making it I bet they tried a few combinations.
