So far no luck still. Knuckle on the right side replaced and no change, issue still exists. I know that they are trying, all team knows about my car and BMW Engineer is involved over last few weeks. This week showed up even at the shop to decide on the next steps in person. Next week will be starting discussion what options are on the table, if for so long the car can not be repaired.
About i8, Im pushing them to give it to me as a loaner, but no luck :-) car for more than $120k :-) nicely parked inside of the salon :-) regards! |

also, I am still modded, so remving CP and everything is hassle, so if you can narrow or target the problem, I could find a chill SA to just fix that issue specifically. Although my clicky noise doesnt affect performance, it's kind of annoying when the windows are down has your dealer tried replacing the brake assembly? possible the sheild behind the rotors?

You will not believe. I was quite but we have success
If resolving the problem for 6 months we can call success. To do not write long story. It took BMW Dealership with BMW Engineer more than 4 months work which included replacing almost all front suspension including the springs, cambers, joints, etc.. Changing the springs made the biggest difference and noise almost went away but ... almost. When I thought that all is fine, BMW worked out compensation package for every month when I could not use my car and was driving BMW loaners. The amount was nice few thousands dollars. So not thinking to much I decided to lower the suspension with labor discount from BMW. At the time when springs were ordered noise came back but after farther discussion with BMW they finalized their opinion that they are not able to do anything more as all parts are new and there is not issue any more. Small noise which was still recognized by me, happening from time to time was qualified as normal in this models Nevertheless after all compensation package I was having the feeling that the issue may go away after the springs are exchange .... now Im driving with Dinan for few weeks, made few thousands miles Colorado - Cali - Colorado and no issue. Car is more stable, more tight and steering wheel feeling is significantly better. No noise issue at all. ZERO! So on the end it looks like be accident the issue was fixed with some luck, stress, and lot of $$$ spent by BMW. At least I see now all front suspension being NEW. P.S. The tip to be sure that you maybe be facing same ticking issues, is the fact that after you will put the car up, what will cause all suspension extension due to wheels hanging in the air.... the issue always was going away for few days, even up to two weeks. But ones came back it was staying and was much easier to be reproduce. I believe that Im done with it for a now. Now time for DP mods and slow preparation for flash tunes in 2017 |

Samd2222 - Reading through the old thread, probably not much use now. However, I have a 'ticking' when turning right or left from time to time and its coming from the wheel hub. Took it to a BMW specialist who are very knowledgeable and confirmed this was likely the aftermarket brake pads fitted. (It came with them when I purchased the car).
Specialist said that due to the pads being slightly shorter than what they should be, they adjust and move hence you can hear the ticking / clicking. They advised me to put genuine BMW pads after they wear down and this will be solved. Your problem may or may not be the same as mine, but thought I would share. |

Yo. My issue on previous car was solved by … installation of the lowering springs. Bmw admitted it was caused by oem springs but because of it nature they are not going to do anything. They have me check for almost $2k for the fact that they were keeping my car for weeks not allowing me to drive it for extended troubleshooting. Meanwhile dealer still gave me nice cars to drive. So in general Im happy, was happy. Now driving m4
