Personally I would stay away from a modified one but that's just me. If it's been modded then it was likely driven hard and those are pretty well known for SMG issues.

Yes, watch out for SMG and VANOS issues, but otherwise a super fun and fast hwy cruiser.

E60 M5 is one of the vehicle I would love to buy for family sedan. Regradless of future gasoline price, E60 over F10 for me.
