Wow I like it. Red with EB2 would look good too since my interior is red.

Do these rods get hot at all?

My question is definitely about the heat generated in the area. That isn't having these wraps peel off in no time? Mod looks great.

It's a high air flow area. Doesn't get that hot. Mine haven't peeled one bit.

No heat, just all weather and insects...oh, and some stupid suicide diving birds too
One secret to prevent peeling of is a proper cleaning of the rods before. If they made it not through the winter, I'll report after that period.

Is that blue CF wrap the same shade as the M Sport blue trim on the interior? I'm trying to pick a color to go with BSM.

Yes, to 90% equal, tomorrow Ill toss you a pic where the trim line is shown beside the CF wrap. Depending on light conditions the wrap seems more shiny, but thats within my tolerance range. You could look at the Dinoc Thread under mods interior/exterior, there you can compare how its appearing to the blue accent.

Uhhhh....ummmm...errr....I need to order a new grill for the passenger side. Broke a tab.

So, do I replace the right side with the OEM gloss black ($77), or spend $110 for a new pair of double slats? I don't HAVE to replace it...it's still securely in place. But it's definitely more loose. I never got the damn thing out, I was too pissed after hearing the "craaack" sound.

Success! I made a special grille removal tool (patent pending lol) and with that it was an absolute breeze getting them off through the slats. Literally a couple minutes at most to get them both out. If only I did that from the get go. Oh well, the grille with the broken tab (top middle one) isn't going anywhere and is only slightly looser.

For my BSM I picked a 3M vinyl that's metallic blue, almost identical to the M Sport Blue accents on the dash, just slightly lighter. Love the look. Will take a pic tomorrow.

After researching new grilles, I'm thinking about picking up a pair of matte black double slat. I think this will look better than the gloss black M Perf ones I have now, giving a bit more contrast and matching the front lip. I know JB Speed has em for $100. Wondering about the eBay ones.

I have eBay grilles. Fit just fine and only paid $58.

Ah, that reminds me to load up the pic with the blue accent lines v/s the blue CF wrap. But you could also jump into the "Dinoc CA-421"-Thread to see how the color appears.

Oh man, didn't we have a thread where someone took a picture of a rebadged 428i with a M3 badge?

Why do people put M badges on cars that obviously isn't an M car? ESPECIALLY those guys that do the M3/M4 conversion kit with the full M3/M4 body kit with the badges in the right spots. I hope you don't go to car meets as you would get alot of disrespect for that car.

If you want a M3/M4, just buy one FFS, if you can't afford it, then save up and then buy.

Really? You think liking the double slat grille over the single slat grille is an M-Poser? I think this takes M policing to a whole new level.

I am then a poser and proud of it!!! Maybe I should add the M stripes to the slats as well to complete the look.

That's fine, but it's putting an M3/M4 badge on it that irritates me. Not even an. Mini M badge or single M badge. But an actual M3/M4.

I dont want another mod-warning for abuse (were not, but was treated as), but if a 3xx driver try to rule a 4xx driver for "misusing" M-symbols...well, if the world hasnt enough problems, go ahead.
For me: I badge my car as I want it, because it is my car and I give a **** about other peoples thoughts, especially when the point of view differs as much as given caused by the models.

BTT: Heres the comparing of the blue tones:
