Gloss or Matte?

Looking for opinions on kidney grilles on a Non M-Sport, Alpine White F30. I bought a pair of cheap aftermarket matte black kidney grilles on eBay, and boy did I get what I paid for I want to get another pair, preferably OEM (does BMW make OEM in matte black?), or at least some that fit like OEM.

I really like the matte black because I don't have the shadowline exterior trim or any other gloss black trim for that matter, so I feel like the matte goes better with the car. What do you guys think?

Also, can anyone recommend a good place to buy aftermarket kidney grilles that are less expensive than OEM but still have good quality?

What's wrong with the current Matte black grills?

I've browsed everywhere on getbmwparts and haven't found any blacked out grills for a 3 series.

I've only found a link for Matte ones on Amazon, with 1 good review.

The ones I bought online were pretty cheap, but so was the quality. After I installed them, the bottom of the grilles kinda stuck out a little, like the tabs weren't snapping in all the way. I tried pushing them in, but then the grille slats unsnapped from the surrounding part, and I couldn't get those to snap back either.

Anyway, I ended up purchasing a better quality pair from a forum member, and those fit much better. They're matte black as well.

Wouldn't it be easier to just get a can of black plastidip and take 15 minutes to remove and spray your existing grill?
