Time for car to get out of VDC?

I have a F30 awaiting delivery at the Oxnard VDC. Just wondering, does anyone have experience with the usual turnaround time for a car to get out of the VDC and to the dealer?

Mine was at VDC in Oxnard at 2/13 on Wednesday and arrived at the Dealer this Saturday 2/16 Saturday.

Thanks. Mine was there on the 12th and they are saying it won't be at the dealer until the 21st or 22nd. Seems a bit long.

Aloha! I am new here, so please excuse my dumb questions! :-)

My 328i coupe arrived at Port Hueneme on 3/4/2013. The 800 number says it is awaiting vessel. I can't wait--it is killing me! I am guessing another couple of weeks? My CA says that it isn't on their inventory sheet yet...whatever that means. :-(

Probably a few more weeks. I know I've seen another thread on delivery times with posts from someone from Hawaii. The next step for you is to await your car to get on a ship going from California to Hawaii. So probably a few more weeks before you get it. End of March, early April maybe - but I'm not an expert on this...

My car spent 2 days in Port Hueneme VDC last week.

In 1995, my E90 took a week to get from VDC in port Hueneme to Los Angeles. My F30 is arriving next week in VDC and my dealer told me to expect it to take 7 days again to arrive.

It's another month. You can check the maresk shipping schedules and try to guess which one it might be on. Also your CA should be able to tell you once it is on the boat. Once it gets to Honolulu it is at least another 4 days bc of the union rules to release it from the port.

I wonder if liner release and discharged means its on a truck on the way to the dealership.

Awwww! :-( I am so anxious...my RX-8 is dying on me. Thank you all so much for the replies! This is the first time I am buying a car like this...I purchased through the Military Sales Program via Superior Motors. This will be my first BMW, so I am pretty psyched!

Same for me, I got mine through Superior Motors MSP. Also my first BMW. So where is your car? Mine is waiting for a ride to Bremerhaven. The anticipation is killer, isn't it? How has your experience been with MSP so far? I'm still deployed and have another two months before I head home and pick up my car, and the anxiety only grows with each step in the process!

Right now, it is in California since 4 March. I worked with Dave Good throughout the ordering process, and he was excellent in keeping me posted on the ordering, production, and shipping status. Since it reached CA, the ball is now in the dealership's court and they seem to be clueless. This is the hardest part...knowing that it is in it's final stages and almost in my driveway! The wait is agony! I will post pics when i get it :-) Stay safe over there!

You're almost there! I'm sure the last bit of time is driving you crazy. It will be well worth the wait. I'm working with Dave Good as well, and so far so good.

Ugh, I know! It is tough to be at home and wait for it. I should have ordered it when I was deployed! It takes so long for anything to get to Hawaii. I guess it is the price I pay to live in paradise...
