New to wheel shopping, need some suggestions

Hey experts!

I've currently got a set of staggered 19" 442Ms on my car, and looking to get something to replace them.

Some details about my car in case they matter:
Mineral Grey 340xi, Mperformance I & II, adaptive suspension. I've got the larger Mperformance brakes

I unfortunately don't know enough about how wheel size and offset work together or where to even look for quality wheels.

I'm hoping for (in order of importance)
- Same diameter (19")
- Lighter, at least as strong as OEM (Flow-formed seems to be the path here I think)
- Similar backspacing

I like dark colours with machined lip/face and prefer thin, bowl-shaped spokes as opposed to a wide lip, but I'm open to having my mind changed.

Goal is to be around $400US per wheel but willing to go up to $550.

Thanks for any and all help!

so far all i can find is savini bm12, bm14 and avante garde m652. there are other brands and models that i'm not sure about. i'll add to this if i think of anything else.

black/dark with machined lip/face limits the selection however it's good that you know what you want...

edit, here ya go. black w/machined, flow form/rotary forged, light

Thanks for the suggestions guys!

I've heard that you need to be careful buying after market rims because although they may be forged or pressure-cast they can still be delicate. What's a way to tell if something is of high quality, or what manufacturers would you tend to gravitate to?

Can someone more knowledgeable than me help out with figuring out wheel width+offset?
The OEMs are 8.5" et47 and 8" et36. None of the suggested wheels seem to be offered in those sizes. What would be the comparable offsets for 8.5 front and 9.5 rear?

Sorry for such basic questions, but I don't know if it's common practice to reduce the backspacing and if so how much before it gets risky.

call modbargins, they will set the correct offsets for you.

I've done it several times with them.

They're selling $2,000 wheels, make them work for it.

Many thanks guys!

I checked out the bargains website but they're a bit limited on what they offer, and nothing that fits really jumps out for me.

Every time I find a style I like in a manufacturer I find out they don't make it in the correct bolt pattern or have weird offsets or only make them in 20" diameter, etc

I also just realized I need to look at hub bore as well. I'd also love if I could use the BMW roundel caps but I'm guessing that's just not going to happen. Good grief!

cb is 72.56. it is often rounded to 72.6 and occasionally the 6 is dropped so they call it 72.5. in any case most manufacturers offer this cb for bmw F3x in 5x120 bolt pattern. front offset +35ish, rear +40ish. not that difficult.

How about M3 wheels? 437M. I've put some on my F36 435. Keeps the OEM look and they are light and look awesome.

When you find something, I'll take those 442s off your hands.
