Car done nearly 2k. avg just under 40mpg. driving like a sissy and got abotu 42mpg on eco pro, next time on comfort got 40. although its twice as much as got in my previous car, still unable to get good mpg. maybe its my right foot fault.
decided from next tank i will drive the way i want even if its a few mpg less.

My driving :

-In eco pro : 30 mpg(best score)
-Comfort+Sports mode : 27mpg

Test has been done over 14 miles (basically driving to work ), no motorway driving involved.

Car : 2012 328i M Sport.

haha, that's rubbish! but guess you must 'drive' the car rather than try to save fuel!

im getting 40mpg average over 8k miles, and recently can get 50mpg doing 65-70 motorway, and 46mpg 70-75 motorway. happy with that

I have to say that's looking pretty good.. I am down at 40/41 so far.. and that's mostly motorway..!!!

Having said that, it's all been in cold(ish) weather, so maybe things will pick up as the weather does..???

Not having hills is a bad thing actually... a friend of mine who trained in Cambridge as a neurologist believes that living in very flat places leads to higher rates of depression and suicide. However not as much as for those at higher latitudes. However, back on topic for a car forum.... Hills are essential for truly great driving roads, which (along with the traffic) is why living is the south-east sucks!

Living in Yorkshire on the edge of the Dales, I actually find it really hard when in flat areas.

No hills makes for a one dimensional landscape and I can totally appreciate it being associated with depression and lower mortality...

Having lived in Cambridgeshire for a number of years before moving here, yes plenty fit the bill.
Regarding depression and flat places, explains Holland and certain types of cafe, they do need cheered up.

Lived in North Scotland and North Yorkshire dales, both amazing drives 365 year

To my experience, the only difference between the drive modes is the throttle response.
If you drive in Comfort mode and have an egg on the pedal you won't benefit from Eco Pro.
Same with speed, it's the same performance in Eco Pro as Sport+ but the gas pedal is more "responsive".

Did a 200 mile round trip the other weekend. Start of the journey had a short stop, then some town driving, then all dual carriage and motorway. Did one or two kickdowns, but for the most part it was Eco all the way and cruise control at 72mph. Averaged 49mpg each way! 335d. Excellent results given the car has only done 900 miles!

Great mpg for a 335d! Have you adjusted your OBC to get accurate fuel readings yet?

Yeah I'm very happy with that kind of mpg on a run. Don't get me wrong though, my morning 6 mile commute at varying temps can be anywhere from 25-35mpg. Coming home tonight the traffic was crawling and I hit a record low of 21mpg

From what I've read it's pretty straight forward. Myself and another member have similar figures and from memory our OBC is out by around 7-8%.
I'm waiting for another couple of brim-to-brims and then I'll do it too.

Me neither. I have had 38mpg on a motorway run in Eco-pro with cruise on. Never managed to average above 40 mpg yet. Xdrive will hamper mine and it's only done 3k. Still bloody good for all that power

This surely can't be at 70mph or under on cruise? How is your anticipation of the traffic ahead? Do you only adjust one minor click every now and then or are you always having to adjust in 5mph increments? If it's only minor clicks @ 70mph then you must be driving uphill everywhere you go
