Usually run map 2 but now i am running Map 5 (93 oct) and will fill up with 3 gallons of E85 as soon as it stops raining down here!
That's odd because I had the same mods as you (res deleted now) and I can make my exhaust "pop"

How do you make it pop?

Even with stock exhaust?

Only difference is I have res delete, but even before I did that I could easily make it pop. Like revving it in second gear at low speeds

Stats say a DP adds an extra 20 or so hp..a downpipe releases back pressure on the turbo allowing it to realize extra boost. You need a tune to get the extra boost to the turbo, though.
I realize this thread is a few years old but I'm a first time BMW owner trying to get spun up on this vehicle.
Is the BMW performance power kit an add on at the dealership or does it come as an option when you purchase the vehicle?

Thank you

I would recommend a flash tune at this point. I use only Mhd. Had a Ppk when I had my e90 and had to upgrade with a jb4 on that car. The flashes are the way to go.

If you get bm3. There's an mppk ots map included for 595.00. The enet cables not included.

There is a guy near me that can install the MHD flash tune. How do you like it? I know the BM3 is making a lot of noise but I dont know anyone on my island that is an authorized dealer/installer.

You don't need an authorized dealer/installer since early 2018. You can just buy the license, ENET cable, and flash yourself at home. MHD is another good option though if you feel more comfortable with that. Both have their own pros and cons, and I don't think you can go wrong with either one.
