Hopefully most people will ignore this & break it in slowly. Lots forget its not just the engine you are breaking in but every moving part in the car.

So because I have been flooring since the first day, I won't last five years?

No one knows if you will be one of the people bitching about this & that at 50/60K miles, be interesting to see how it turns out for you.

So if you have some basic need to go WOT everyday have at it. Its your car but the fact that its OK to do this from day 1 is only your unsupported opinion.

Bottom line is you don't know more about the car than the guys who designed it & are trying to keep warrantee claims down. I did notice things like Launch Control, on the car that has it, was locked out till I had run 1200 miles.

I'm just over 1000 as of last night...so half way there.
I believe the owner's manual states a 4500 RPM limit and keeping the speed variable for the first 2000km/1200m.

Seems pretty much inline with every other manufacturer's "break-in" period.

My heavens, your dealer is keeping a tight leash stranglehold with those recommended numbers. After 2000 miles, when doing your first WOT, you might scare the literal crap out of your car.

Well, took my 335 into the dealer to get the CEL's checked out today. They were able to quickly diagnose it - the intake housing pipe was simply not connected. They said that this was likely due to when my other dealership installed the PPK. Huge fail.

You are aware that when the boost is raised the plastic charge pipe becomes suspect. Had mine blow off a number of times on the 335is till I swapped it for a metal one. Has been good for over 2 years now.

Yes, different maximum torque: 450nm for automatic transmission and 430nm for MT, while maximum power is the same: 250kw

Well, CEL came back. Difference is, now I'm at 5600 miles.... This is the third time. Going to schedule it for Monday when they open, this just seems a little ridiculous

I was told there is no break in period for the MPPK. Why the soft foot? I just got mine installed, 200 miles in it so far, and I can't stop going over 3000 rpms. Hahahaha!

OP: No problems here. As far as I can tell, no one has had problems with MPPK on the f30 yet.

I'm a little confused. I was told there is no break in period after install of MPPK. I had already broke in my car when I first got it delivered to me at around 1200-2000 miles. At around 10k miles I added the MPPK and MPE, and was told there was no need to break it in again...

I was going easy because I had such low miles. Now that I'm out of the break in period of 1200 miles, I've gone above 3k.

CEL came back, now at 6200 miles - scheduled an appointment asap. Starting to look into my local lemon laws as this is just getting a little absurd.

Anybody else having this many issues?
