Good eye; does look like paint chips but I think it's just a combo of dirt/debris/bugs. That's after how many miles of driving?

Not too shabby for 300 miles! I was hoping you wouldn't say 30

We don't have access to 93 here in Cali. What's the consensus on mixing in some E85? Maybe 5 gallons E85 with 11 gallons of 91? Makes it around 93 octane, but is it safe to run that much ethanol because 91 is already mixed E10.

Lucky! You have to go get a tank of 94 at least and see what it does!

I don't want to steer anyone wrong so I will let more knowledgeable members comment on what is or is not safe to run. I do know stock or MPPSK equipped cars don't really need more than 93 octane and would in fact most likely see a performance loss rather than a gain if over 93 was used. I have noticed a difference in the amount and predictability of pop's and burbles when running 93 vs 91 octane with 93 being much more prominent, to me this is opposite of what I think should happen as 91 is more volatile than 93?

I agree over 93 is overkill but do you think the E85 will hurt anything in engine? I see tuners running it in just about every boosted car but these B58 engines aren’t designed to run on it.

Maybe mixing 100 octane race gas is better?

In truth your questions are above my pay grade, my uneducated opinion is you won't hurt anything running or adding race gas but I doubt you'll see any improvement unless you add a piggyback of some kind on top of MPPSK, most likely without piggyback your just wasting money. Personally I wouldn't add E85 unless I was logging. Lot's of folks on here more qualified to answer your questions, how about it boys and girls?
