Nice shots, but no real snow here yet.

Yet? I bet when you get two inches all hell breaks loose. Real snow is measured in feet, not inches or centimeters.

Very true. Got my car stuck on a patch of grass this week
Rear wheels were just spinning away so if we get snow it will be total mayhem.

Some lovely shots there Crashnbrn. Whenever I see your US cars, I think it's an awful shame that your front wheel arch has to have that conspicuous orange reflector thing spoiling the line.

Agree with Rapid, no real snow here in the UK, but as I'm about 600 miles further north, most winters we do get plenty . . and up here in Scotland we cope quite well.

Here's a couple from a few years ago, first one just after digging out my garage, then a shot of the house.

That line is far more conspicuously spoiled if some punter doesn't see your car one night and drives into it. I agree that BMW could have done a better job with it.

Drive with your lights on at night, that makes you conspicuous.
Works for me

The point of reflectors is that they're illuminated by the headlights of an approaching car, which is critical when your car is parked with its lights off.

I take your point but I'm still glad that we don't have to have the damn things spoiling the look of our cars.

I don't even think about them, nor has their presence cost me a wink of sleep. FWIW when side reflectors were first mandated in 1968 some companies did a fair amount of business selling stick-on reflectors to add to older models that didn't have them.
