Dang...still stuck @ the VPC
So my 2014 335ix landed in the good ol US of A on 7/8/14. BMW NA stated it was scheduled to be delivered to the dealer on 7/13. I called the 1800 number today and now the car is not scheduled to be delivered until 7/20. They stated there is a work order on it pending completion. They would not or could not disclose what it was for. I did not order anything that would need to be added at the Vpc.. So me thinks that the car sustained some damaged while in transit. Being that they will never disclose if the car was damaged I guess it's safe to say I will never find out what caused the delay. FML.

Bmw already confirmed that it's in the vpc. I just don't know what this "work order" is all about. I think it probably got a few boo boos that need repair. Eh...already waited this long... What's one more week. I'm just jealous of all you guys that actually has their car and is able to enjoy it

Dan, I feel your pain.. I ordered my 435i mid April and it arrived at the dealership (after going missing for a week) on July 7th. Conveniently the diagnostic tool went wonky at the dealership so I had to wait another week to hear that the car had a DOA traction control module. Because my car has DHP, the dealership couldn't swap it with any of their lot cars. I have no idea when I am going to get my car because they had to order the part from Germany. I'll say a prayer for both of our cars

Mine was there for 2 weeks, and I had performance parts. no one ever disclosed what the true hold up was, as the amount of work was <5 hours total.
Regardless, I love my car and it came to me in perfect condition |

Bmw told me the same thing when my car was at customs. Check with ww and it will list the history. I also thought my car was damaged. Gl to both you.

my car mysteriously spent about 19 days at the VPC last month and arrived very dirty compared to others who have posted pics of their cars coming off the transport trucks.
still have no idea why; I had the stainless pedals installed--that must've taken 10 minutes. also, it seems the cars clear customs electronically. everyone from my ship who posted their tracking info had the exact same date/time for customs release, including someone whose car was clearly already on a truck at the time of customs release as it got to the dealer the next day. good luck, it'll get there

W&W is a logistics company.. You can track the shipment of your car with W&W via your Vin (which is your cargo ID). You can also see when your car was released from customs, etc.

I would like to lemon that dealership. Last time I will be doing business there. Got a great deal... But with it a lot of headaches. Turns out my salesperson is on vacation and no one was covering his clients. Great communication people.

The only bright spot is that I got to take advantage of the July incentives. 500 bucks less. My new monthly is 469.97 for 36/10k. That's with nav heated seats driver assistance and premium package. Not too shabby

If you haven't taken delivery yet then I don't see why not. Reach out to your sales advisor at rallye and tell them that you noticed the incentives went up for July. Unless the MY15 435's are excluded which is possible. Doesn't hurt to ask

Talk to the sales manager. Remind him that shortly BMW NA will be contacting you asking about your purchase experience.

What state are you in? Certain states require full disclosure, other states don't require disclosure if damage was less than 10% damage of the value of the car. Find out what state you are in and use it. And demand copy of work order from dealer. It's your car, you have a right to know
