I think h&r is a bad choice for 437m period. I believe even pss would have the same issue. Now my choice is to swap rear springs to something less aggressive like eibach or acs, to lift it up a bit, I think 10-15 mm will do the trick... Or sto wasting money and get coilovers.

I just had a drive around. There's a weird nose coming out of front wheels at full lock. I've checked, nothing is rubbing. It's more like a medium pitch squeak, if that makes sense. I wonder if this could potentially have something too do with xdrive system? Wheels look great but the whole thing starts to piss me off if I'm honest.

It may well be. I have to say, as it is, it looks nice and aggressive. ACS may do the trick as they dont tend to drop it as low as the H&R ( Smee has H&R and we did a side by side comparison. His was slightly lower at the rear and slightly lower all over (both on 20's).

These look lovely!
I think I need to "lift my ass" to the same height as yours.
Now, the situation around mixing springs. I like how front sits on h&r but this would mean having different spring at the back...
Another option is going coilover way, but this would mean another 1500 to get coils with edc...

Another option could be to fit the SWP ‘bad road package’ strut spacers which would give you around 10mm lift on the rear

Some websites say it's not suitable for x drive. I don't see a real reason for a piece of rubber not being suitable, it's not affecting the x drive in any form or shape.
The only reason I can think of is, keepingg in mind the factory height of an xdrive, bmw don't see a reason to lift then even higher...

They were around £7 each. I don't seem to be able too find details around the mm value. Assuming this is rubber, they would change the height/ get flatter with time? Saying that, 7 quid...

Only details I’ve read have been in German and via google translate I’ve tried to decipher as much as possible!

I’m sure I’ve read that 5-10mm is the value in which the ride height is increased!

10mm is all I'm asking for... I think, lol. Either way, I'll give it a shot. Rear suspension is dead easy to work on, don't think it will take more than an hour.

Hi smee, quick question as I'm new to the forum, what is the product code for the h&r lowering spring you have unused? As just got myself a 435d xdrive coupe and loving the drop on yours so want to get the same springs, as seen that the h&r drop only 20mm on the xdrive and yours seem to look lower than that, hope you can forward over the product code the h&r springs

Blaque diamond BD23 or BD3 wheels look pretty nice IMO.
Not sure how good they'd be or sizes .
Definitely a tough decision...
