Car ordered....patiently waiting....
Hi All,
Ordered my car last week and have been advised it will be available first few weeks in April, albeit there is a slim possibility of the last week in March, we'll see! Spec is as follows - 320d M-Sport Saloon Estoril Blue with black leather Brushed Aluminium interior trim, not a fan of the blue dash trim. Sun Protection Glass Business Plus Media Package Business speaker upgrade Additional lumbar support (dicky back) With it being a company lease vehicle I had a strict budget so I did an awful lot of juggling and couldn't get the xenon lights or HK upgrade that I would have really liked. Did consider dropping down to a 318d but thought I would regret that in the long run. I did have a 24hr loan vehicle which was a 330d M-Sport Touring with the 8AT which was truly epic, talk about teasing me, it was epic to drive for a diesel. Any how's will update with pics once the car has arrived |

Congrats, being on here should help the wait It might turn up a bit earlier, you never know, unless there's a supply/production issue it's usually around 8 weeks I think.
At least you got the Business speaker upgrade: there's a smaller difference between business>HK than standard>business, so you've still got a good sound system. The wait will seem long at the time, but it all all be a distant memory come delivery day!

Thanks Mark, am hopeful for March but don't want to get my hopes too high!
All the research I did suggested the business speaker upgrade was well worth the money and a big improvement so should be happy as you suggested. Just a shame I couldn't squeeze the Xenons in as the std DRL's look rubbish in comparison to the led rings, maybe next time....... |

Good choice on the Brushed Aluminium interior trim. We had it on our E91 so it was no brainer that we went for it again in the F31. Some people have commented that it scratches more than the hexagonal but we never had a issue. Besides the other half blackballed the blue trim!
Shame you've missed out on the xenons as most will agree it really lifts the visual appearance and the adaptive lights are pretty cool. |

Great choice sticking with the 320D too, you will enjoy that more than the Xenons
I had the business audio upgrade in my last two BMW's and was very pleased with it. A worthy upgrade. |

Congratulations on the order - some really good options in there so looks like you've spent your money wisely. I was in the same situation when ordering mine, so had to balance what I needed and what I wanted as any options invariably cost me more than the option itself!! For example if I specced leather, it would cost me personally £3,500 over 4 years for a £1,600 option - madness!!! (and all for something that I'll have no benefit of when the car goes back.
Enjoy the wait for the car - mine is due 1st March and the wait has been agonising - with only this forum keeping me sane..... |

Obviously I'm looking forward to my 330d but I have to be honest and say that the 320d and the auto box is a revelation. If I'd known what a great combination they were I'd have given the two litre more serious consideration. On any BMW.

That's interesting - i was utterly underwhelmed by the 320ED I drove (after the 330D I had driven a few days before), so maybe I should try a 320D. Or not...

I was impressed with 320d auto F31 I had out last for one day however I just adored the smooth gliding 330d. The six cyclinder engine is sweet!

330d loan car was great fun, BIK figure was horrific if budget had allowed so I would have had a real dilemma on choice.
Thing is we have our modified Mk6 Golf GTi with 300bhp/350lbft to have fun in so chasing horse power on the work horse not such a priority |

After having a 520D in the past I've sworn never again to get the 2.0 diesel! That was the older 163bhp unit with a manual gearbox and was so dull. I'm sure the latest unit is much better especially with the auto box but I'm sticking with the 3.0 from now on!

Thought I'd post my first comment having just joined the forum.
I currently own an E90 LCI, but am yet another to have just ordered an F30 this week. Anticipated delivery is currently mid-March. No official dates as yet, but looking forward to making the change none the less. Anyway, good to e-meet you all and look forward to the useful resources, as well as some interesting banter. Dan |

320d M-Sport Saloon Estoril Blue with black leather Hexagon aluminium trim with estoril blue matt finish Sun Protection Glass Adaptive M Sports Suspension Mobile iPhone application Prep Pro Media Package Visibility Package Folding Rear Headrests Heated Front Seats Sports Automatic Gearbox Blueperformance Diesel Designation Deletion Did think about the M Sport brakes but with all the above toys it was getting pricey as it was... Will be replacing the Grilles with the full black ones when i get it, also adding a rear spoiler that has been mentioned on these forums sold on ebay quite cheap... |

It's something to do with NO2 emissions of the car by reducing it for potential new taxation in 2014 by government. Similar to how road tax is calculated with CO2 emissions... Wouldn't have gone with it, but the deal included this in the base spec...
