Mine only does it when the weather is warm. Couldn't activating the AC just cool off the IDrive head unit? The AC Evaporator is adjacent to the head unit in the dash, after all....

Same problem here. It seems to appear when the car is relatively warm, after having been restarted after a short time sitting. Disappears after a few minutes of driving.

Someone in the above posts noted that it will go away if you turn on your A/C for a few seconds and then shut it off (mine only beeps when A/C is off). This works every time.

It might save you a couple minutes of beeping.

Actually figured out what it is. It's the air conditioning system.

One day I was in my driveway and had the garage door open, I heard that beeping. I said to myself! No way!! Not on the outside! I approached my car whipped out the cell camera and recorded it near the radiator, and by the left fender. It was the a/c decompressing or something!! I couldn't believe it. Wasn't electrical at all. I'll post up the video when I get a chance.

Same here. Tried several times. Turn on the AC, and it goes away. Turn it off, and it doesn't come back. So, a quick recycle of the AC seems to get rid of it. At any rate, even when I do nothing, it disappears after a mile or so of driving.

I had this beeping issue since I got the car new, it was faint and hardly noticible.

Today I got the car back from the dealer getting a software update, more specific ''DME" flash or some bull like that..

Well the beeping is unbearable! And what I mean by unbearable its so annoying, my fiance automatically said WTF is that?!

Well see and hear for yourself. By the way. ITS NOT PHONE INTERFERENCE! I drove around with the phone bluetooth OFF! Nope still did it! I drove around with the phone OFF, nope still does it. Phone not even in the vehicle, yep you guessed it still does it. This is just bull S***!

I usually use bluetooth for my iPhone 5, but today my battery was running low so I plugged my iphone into the usb port in the armrest. All of a sudden, I hear a beep beep beep that sounds like your video. When I unplug my iPhone, the beep goes way. I don't know if this issue is related, but I thought I would throw it out there.

Yes, its the ac lines for some reason. Turn on the a/c let it do a cycle for like 10 seconds and turn it back off, it will go away. Sounds stupid but thats what it is..nothing to do with electronics.

Thank you dd1982

wow... seems like there is no end to a/c related issue... I have been having so much A/C issues since I bought the vehicle brand new, within the first month a/c evaporator went bad spitting out white flakes and now i gotta remedy this beeping issue by cycling a/c. what a disappointment

when you took your vehicle to dealer did they not fix the issue?

Nope, they couldn't replicate it either as in your case. I showed them that video i posted in the thread and they were confused. They completely reflashed my car and updated all software, had my car for a week I wasn't happy. The problem never went away. In fact it's worse when something thing gets reflashed at a dealer the beeping is the worst and loudest until the car cycles itself.

So one day a forum member pointed out to cycle the a/c and it worked, so I can't take the credit for the so called fix lol

I had this yesterday after receiving my car from the dealer after a short warranty item. They'd connected the car to the service station and after I'd driven away suddenly the sound appear. I guess thats the car, is trying to reconnect to the BMW service but not sure.
