Why must you have PDC for rear camera retrofit?
How much are either options? aftermarket or retro?

Camera installed! Works perfect! It took Aleks about two hours and he checked all the functions while putting everything back together again so there wouldn't be any "surprises" at the finish line. Every step of the way the car was protected to insure no scratches, dings or nicks happened. He even threw in a box of Christmas candy for my wife (she will love him for that).

I'm looking to install the rear PDC. Haven't decided whether to go camera or not but it's looking a bit more tempting. I hear there is a rear PDC kit out there but in Europe only. Nothing in the States yet? I also heard I need programming. Do I ask the dealer to do it or could someone else do it? Could I do it?

I had BimmerTech retrofit BMW Apps and Rear PDC just a couple months ago, they really did a fantastic job, it's completely seamless and I strongly recommend them. Patryk Matysiak is a fantastic guy and has been helpful and quick.

I did mine myself very easy.
Some comments: Route the camera cable using passenger side. Pry parts with patience. In my case Patryk told me to turn on dip pin5. Double check connections. Everything works at the end. Bimmertech is great!, thanks to all that helped me, specially Patryk, you rock men. |
