I am telling my CA to put the wrath of whatever god they fear into them about not drilling holes in my car for the plate!

Mini no holes plate from **********s here. It is easy to remove, which makes it great for photoshoots while still being legal.

I'm pretty sure the PCD guys won't put the front plate mount on, unless you specifically tell them to, when you pick up the car.

My CA said it was up to him rather the plate bracket goes on. I have been reminding (threatening) him daily by email.

Has anyone done the offset/tow hook mount with the PDC? I know I saw one that was offset to accommodate the PDC sensors but it was only shown on an E90.
I also have a really hard time paying $125 for a sheet metal bracket and some a bolt that I could probably build in my garage in 30 minutes.

I was looking for one that works with PDC. A guy posted a link showing a site that selled for around $80 bucks. Where did you find it for $125. Also the site has one mounted on a F30 with PDC. But i'm looking for pictures of it from different angles. which seems hard. |

I was looking at the mod bargains one which claims it has the offset for PDC, but it comes out to $122 when all is said and done.
The rest seem to be around $70-100 which is still crazy for a couple bolts and some sheet metal.

I don't know why the US don't use the thin plates like the European countries anyway.

Euro plates in the US are fine if you want it for decoration, but are not a legal substitute for a real US plate. And in general, if you have one on in a state that requires both plates, it just screams "hey I'm not listening to the law".
At least with no front plates the cop might just think you're from out of state unless he turns his head and sees the real plate on the back.

Offset front plate holder
Cyberdemon, I ordered the offset front plate holder that screws into the tow hook receiver, as I do NOT want to have holes drilled into my beautiful M-Sport. I'll be back from deployment next month and actually getting to play with the car for the first time in December, so I'll post pics of mine when I get home!

I ordered the plate from US Millworks, looks like it has a lot more adjustability so hopefully that makes it easier to clear the PDC.
Will post pics when I get it.

I did ED + PCD for my M3. I took the front plate mount with me in my luggage back home from Europe, so there was no mount for PCD to even use, when it got back to the US |

Any luck? I just received my plate and it still interferes with the PDC. Sensor just picks it up.

I found that if I oriented the plate straight across (parallel to the axles) vs normal to the bumper (the way it looks best) it seems that the PDC wouldn't pick it up. But then it looked so terrible that I just ended up taking it off and sticking it in my trunk again. I haven't been haggled about it yet...and it still looked like such a tumor I may just save it in the trunk for when I get hassled. Forgot to take pics...

Here is my solution to the front plate on my M-Sport bumper. Cost was about $3.
I prefer the license plate to contour the M-Sport bumper with the same angle and curvature. No holes are drilled into the front of the bumper. However, there are two small holes that are drilled into the underside of the grille to accomodate a pair of L-Brackets. The license plate is then mounted to the L-Brackets. If the plate and L-Brackets are removed, the holes are not visible unless you get down on the ground and look up. Last edited by x.shell; 12-19-2012 at 08:07 PM.. |

I still think it makes the car look like Bug's Bunny.
BTW - did you add the fogs to your Msport?
