I know when I went into the city, it had 3d diagrams of certain buildings/bridges... perhaps they add to that too? No idea. |

You can create your own FSC code if you have e-sys + psdzdata. I created a dummy guide for the UK folk so you can generating your own FSC code for CIC and NBT on page 2, it also includes the correct code generation software.
http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1056107 The lookup.xml only generates upto NEXT/PREMIUM 2014 but it's pretty easy to just add in a new entry for 2015. Just look at the xml entries/pattern. |

So if your car is manufactured close to the new map release there is a good chance of your car already having the FSC |

Anyone been down this road yet? I've generated the same FSC as the one I bought earlier this year for 2014, so I'm good to go from a process point of view, just need the above details for 2015, I think?

Okay, I have just edited the lookup.xml file with some assistance from the UK forum and am now, as I type this, in the middle of updating my Pro Nav to the 2015 maps, using an FSC code that I generated myself from my VIN and the instructions in the UK forum.
Many thanks to HFW003 for the location of the 2015 maps and to kikster specifically, of the UK forum, for his/her assistance - this is why I love these forums. Now I just need to adjust my coding software and I've saved myself around $100 in tools. Happy to do for anyone in Perth if you wish. If you wish to do so yourself, the Lookup.txt file i used is attached, rename to Lookup.xml after renaming the original in the tools subdirectory.

I'll PM it to you. And, yes, the map update was successful, now running 2015 Pro maps

One thing I did notice today when I drove into the CBD, that more of the buildings are showing. Not sure if there were that many before, but it's definitely packed full of buildings now. Even the Story Bridge shows in 3D!
Love this Nav unit. |

Did you end up having to get an FSC code or was one already available?

Hi all. Got the 2015 maps from HFW003. Extracted to USB. Plugged into car. Turned car on. The car then told me that there was newer map information on the USB stick and if I wanted to update. I said yes. I now have 2015 maps with no FSC. My car was manufactured in September and delivered into AU in November. I took delivery 27/11. So the rumour is true! Thanks HFW003 for your help. Much appreciated. |

That is, copy the actual files in the folder you end up with onto the stick not the entire folder. |
