So this is the third car I've ordered and tracked and the automated status at BMW today says my car is in the body shop with an estimated completion date of June 4.

Never heard that one before and assume it's normal as when you hear "body shop", that's not normally a cool thing.

Anybody else get that particular status?

Practically means the car's frame aka body is being assembled next it will get painted and then assembled. its normal.
