That said, I can't imaginr they would refuse to come out if you pressed them - it's all the same if its a blowout, rendering the kit useless. |

looking forward to ditching the runflats putting standard tyres on my car soon
with my old E90 that had standard tyres i carried a 12v compessor and 'SOS' tyre kit that uses water based sealant so the tyre can be washed out and repaired, unlike most other tyres sealants that render the tyre usless. |

I have Michelin Pilot Super sports. I think there is only one load rating that's the right size for the 403Ms 225/40/19 on front and 255/35/19 on rears. I love these tyres, best I've ever used in all my years driving. Same as used on the M135/235 and Alpina 3s.

Yep you've really got me thinking about this now! The fronts are £165 each for some reason though!
I'll be putting my non RFT winters on soon so I'll get to try them for a while before taking the plunge on non RFT summers. |

Ok quickly checked them in the garage this morning on the way out... Rears are 96Y extra load Fronts are 93Y extra load They are not star marked. Not sure any non-runflats would be for the F3x cars?

Melodrama aside, everyone needs to make their own decisions on these matters, and I'm not going to say anyone is right or wrong. I doubt many specced the Active Safety package or whatever it is called, even though I expect for many people it would have a better chance of saving them from having a serious accident more often than runflat tyres ever would, but are they wrong for that? There are many things we can all do in life that may reduce some incredibly small risk of something bad happening, but if it comes with a downside then it's a personal decision.

What pressures do you run them at, as being XL they should have higher pressures i believe? And as i say there are star marked 225's which i guess are for the front of the M3/4, and they appear to have a slightly different tread pattern, at least acoording to tyreleaders product photo! first pic is non star, 2nd pic is star marked. |

I can't remember what pressures, but just as per the door card for my car, but if I recall correctly from other threads the 335d tourer has different pressures to pretty much everything else!

The star marked one I think can be used on a Porsche, Porsche have some weird thing where you can only use certain tyres!
Certainly the tread pattern on the right looked like my Porsche tyres! GBR1 |
