Any of you know what's wrong with it??

Well, I was wondering when others would have this problem.

I've had exactly the same problem. First it was on the passenger's side. Took it to the dealer, who said "leaves and debris" had stopped the hood from closing.

Then, yesterday, the driver's side did it.

I got the hood to close by pulling a little harder on the open lever in the driver's footwell.

I was at the dealer today for another issue and I told the SA that this is design or manufacturing issue.

I don't think it'll be long before BMW starts hearing about this and issues a fix.

BMW likes to come out some new ideas every year or every time they have a new model, and it is a good thing! but can they just do it right or either test it at least 100 times before they lanch it!! Can't stay with these stupid little issues~~~

I haven't opened my hood yet...........maybe I won't now.

I've seen pics of the engine online. I've seen pics of Grand Canyon too so now I don't have to go there. It's amazing how places look just like they do on pictures....haha

Lube the 2 latches. My E90 did that when the latch didn't return to rest position.

just take it in and it's probably a minor adjustment the service dept can make quickly.
