DIY tool for removing factory plugs for tune
This is something I've made to assist in removing the factory plugs to install bms or others.
It is basically a micro screw driver bent 90' at the tip. The tip slides underneath the tab that lifts for the plugs to come out. |

Haha... I wish I saw this just a few days ago.. Already broke one of the clips off, it still stays in tight and I taped it just to be safe.
Oh well, it's a lease lol nothing to worry about. But this sure looks like it could come in handy!

Not ground breaking engineering to say the least, but i knew if i didn't come up with something i would have ended up with broken clips.
It'll cost you less than dollar. And keep it in the car - you don't know when you need to remove the unit. |

I want a tool to remove the CAN pins from the DME connector, so that the wires can be tapped in-line without a trace
Or... how about a dummy connector that goes between the harness and the DME with taps at the needed pins... just like with the sensor connections for the JB4? Last edited by S4NoMore; 09-02-2014 at 02:57 PM.. |
