I was about to reply to my old thread about the audio amp harness in the F30 (here) but then I thought that I should start a new thread about my car.
It's a 2013 320d xdrive, sport line with the automatic 8-speed gearbox. The mileage is roughly 131k km (yes I'm from Europe, I'd rather say that than saying I'm from Romania because my patriotism level is 0 ).





So this is my audio (maybe more in the future?) upgrade journal in the F30, hopefully it will help other F30/F31 owners who want to upgrade the car audio.


Following the Match PP86DSP installation detailed in the above mentioned thread, two days ago I've installed a pair of Eton B100W front speakers (mids+tweeters). The installation was easier than I thought and took about 1 hour, following some youtube clips (see f30 bavsound installation).

I've kept the same preset in the PP86DSP as it was before the speaker installation, for a better comparison.
After a few days, I feel like the high notes are more crisp and better defined, and there are some (just a few) tracks that sound a bit creamier than with the stock HiFi speakers. But my ears tell me that the speaker upgrade wasn't a radical one, maybe at max level they sound a bit more... balanced?
What I'm sure about is that the highs sound better - seems fair, since the Eton tweeters weigh about 1.5-2 times more than the stock ones. And I'm also sure that I need some sound insulation because the doors vibrate like hell...
